Magical surroundings like nothing else on earth. The ground isn't cleared, the huts are inside the rainforest surrounded by trees that evolved before dinosaurs and you can feel it. Next to the restaurant behind some trees is an incredibly beautiful beach, which is untouched by man because it is known to be guarded by crocodiles, although I was disappointed that I didn't see any.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mist at Cape Tribulation tremendously. The eco-luxe pavilion we stayed in was well-designed, clean and close to the amenities such as restaurants, Madja, Kulki boardwalks, and Thornton’s Beach lookout. In the evening, we also enjoyed sitting on the day-bed at the verandah, observing the sights and sounds of the floral and fauna of the Daintree Rainforest. Lilian and Kim were excellent hosts — hospitable, warm and friendly.

There is a lot (everything) to like about this place. It's a huge 4-room house set amidst a lovely garden with tropical fruit and flowers. Everything is new (July 2025). Pool, barbecue and terrace. Lots of tasteful decoration, both inside and in the yard. Plenty play space for kids, if you have any. I received complementary sparkly, jam, bread, fruit plate, coffee, etc. from the host. Was astonished, to say the least! Very clean and well maintained property. Greag location next to the tour offices and restaurants of Cape Trib. Come and see for yourselves!

This accommodation was incredible! It was so lovely, with lots of space, 4 separate bedrooms and lots of toys and games provided! My teens loved it and so did my husband and I! The garden feels like a little paradise, with the pool and lovely plants! This House has everything you need and more! We highly recommend!!!

Beautiful location surrounded by rainforest, fruit trees, and birds really immerses you in the wilderness experience. The cabin has ample space to spread out for a couple, enjoy the views and enjoy simple meals. The bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped to clean up after hikes and snorkeling. We only prepared simple breakfasts, for which the facilities were perfect, but you'll need to plan ahead, bring more items and get creative for bigger meals. Meals on the veranda were so much fun. The unit was very clean considering its location and all the netting, windows, etc were very effective at keeping the bugs outside.

Villa Zena is a colonial-style holiday villa situated in the heart of the pristine Cape Tribulation valley. The Villa is surrounded by a magnificent garden and a tropical fruit orchard.

I liked the initial communication with the owner, everything was fully explained regarding access and facilities, surrounding activities and directions to the property etc. we were allowed to check in early which was brilliant as it gave us a whole day to unload the van and settle in. There were further texts to make sure we arrived safely, and apart from some annoying delays due to roadworks on the way it was a lovely drive. The property itself was a tranquil peaceful hideaway yet still close to the town and beach, we only went to the beach once as it was so lovely just sitting on the verandah overlooking the gardens and wandering around exploring the grounds. The sound of the birds and frogs and insects during the day and at night added to the enjoyment. The Villa was extremely well set up and every thing we could require for cooking was provided. WiFi was very strong no idea about the TV as we never used it due to having so much else to look at outside. The night walk was awesome it added a new dimension to the garden and pond and we even saw fireflies which gave the garden a magic touch. We slept so well each night, serenaded to sleep by natures chorus and our minds divesting all the work stress and other rubbish. The Villa was perfect and exactly as advertised and shown in the pictures.

Don’t be fooled by the term” farm “people. This wasn’t just accomodation, this is an experience at an incredibly high standard. Stunning tropical fruit farm in paradise. Amazing outdoor space for self catering and very comfy and well appointed interior. The team were very welcoming and explained all about the tropical fruit we were given upon arrival. The care and love they have for the environment is at the forefront of everthing they do. Honestly didn’t want to leave, what a privilege to stay there, we will be back 👌
