Alison and the team were wonderful. The rooms were good for a family and it so close to all the Quorn attractions- and just across the road from the Railway Station.

Everything was excellent! Amy was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We loved the quiet location and the amenities of the town. Such a lovely feel to the whole place. We only planned to stay one night but ended up staying 3 as we loved it so much!

Clean, airy and modern and close to everything in the town of Quorn. Pretty garden surrounding the units. We were late getting in and let them know we were still coming and they were there to check us in when we arrived.

It is different to the city with all businesses closing around 2-3pm in the afternoon on a Saturday (however the swimming pool opened up at 3pm, so you can bring bathers)! XD It was so quiet walking around, there is a lovely Bush Tucker Trail where you can taste Quandong berries off the bush for free too ^^.

The silo light show is very informative and enlightens you to the amazing history of Quorn and surrounding areas. We ate at the Quandong Cafe and considering the amount of people there the service was very efficient. The train journey to Woolshed Flat was very enjoyable.

The local hotel (pick the busy one - it’ll be obvious) has a great atmosphere, friendly service and good value meals. The Quandong Cafe (1 street back from the Main Street) make excellent coffee and have a good breakfast and lunch selection. Quorn’s a good base for the southern end of the Flinders. And for train buffs, or those who plan ahead, there’s the Pichi Richi Railway. I have family from interstate who rode that very recently and where well impressed.

Quorn is a typical northern country town in SA, some lovely old buildings, and of course, home of the Pichi Richi Railway. You can appreciate when driving around that this town was once a busy thriving centre, now somewhat quieter. Well worth a visit and a ride on the historic steam powered railway.

A quiet, neat and clean country town.

A quiet, neat and clean country town. Perfect location for exploring the Flinders Ranges. Pichi Richi railway is excellent. Dining out venues in Quorn are limited, but it is only 35 minutes to Port Augusta by car where there are many eating options.

As this is a motel there is no breakfast available. A toaster and kettle were provided as was a fridge with some basics. Breakfast is available at some local cafes. The room was large and well furnished with some interesting furniture. No standard issue hotel kit here. Paul and Kylie are working hard to upgrade the facilities of this original 19th century mill, to be a very individual destination not just an overnight stop. They are welcoming and helpful with a good knowledge of the region and its attractions.

TV and internet worked. It is in back blocks of Quorn so it was quiet. You get the whole house, potentially sleeps Seven and fenced yard, so good if you have children and pets but just one toilet.
