We supposed to stay only one night in Brienz and choose the hotel close to the train/bus station. We arrived late in the evening at the end of rainy day, quite tired, but were nicely cared by a kind and considerate hosts of the hotel. We have got a Swiss style homely corner room with lake and mountain view and lovely balcony. It was clean and sufficiently quiet, with good sleep. Breakfast was simple but tasty and enough to continue enjoying the gougeous Brienz. Thank you so much for owners of the hotel for a nice stay! Good luck with your business! We will definitely come back.

The few days we spent at Grandhotel Giessbach were truly like a dream. The hotel’s stunning natural scenery, historical architecture, and peaceful atmosphere captivated us from the very first moment. Everything was thoughtfully planned and flawless. However, one of the most important details that made our stay so special was meeting Kris Jungo, who works at the Front Office. Kris was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. He made us feel right at home. He patiently answered all our questions and enhanced our vacation with his recommendations, making it much more enjoyable. Kris’s professionalism and warmth were a wonderful reflection of Grandhotel Giessbach’s quality. Staying at this hotel is not only a peaceful getaway but also an opportunity to meet wonderful people. I booked into a single room with balcony overlooking the lake - views are superb! One of the staff who checked me in was friendly and helpful - as I arrived late night and haven't had my dinner, he got me a piece of carrot cake. Breakfast spread was good. Love the quiet walks around Iseltwald and simply reading and resting by the lakeside.

The room had a lovely view of lake Brienz and had all we needed. It was roomy, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower spacious. Staff were very friendly and the service excellent. They even accommodated our request to leave our suitcases with them for a few hours after check out so we could finish our sightseeing without taking them on the train with us. Great place to stay!

Excellent location, beautiful view.

Excellent location, beautiful view. Easy to pick up keys in a box. Well equipped kitchen, salt, pepper, oil and more. Welcome pasta to cook and coffee. Underfloor heating. Cowbells every morning instead of an alarm clock.

It is too far from Interlaken not having a view of the lake...

It is too far from Interlaken not having a view of the lake as pictures shown, it is located on the top of the mountain, it takes about 20 mn drive on an extremely narrow road to reach there. Not a single supermarket or restaurant nearby, it is recommended for people seeking tranquility and peace, not for those who plan to visit other places every day. a washing machine would be an advantage. I liked that it has Fondue maker and all what's needed to prepare some homemade meals.

Very nice location, great view of the lake and excellent...

Very nice location, great view of the lake and excellent walks. Be careful of the local drivers. In the 3 days we stayed at Axalp we were bullied by 4 very aggressive drivers on the mountain roads.

I've known Herr Rubi, the owner and manager of Chemihüttli, since 2004. He has always been impeccable as a host and I often use him as an example of how a hotel should be run. Not only the apartments are in perfect working order and clean, but the way Herr Rubi and his team look after you will make you feel at home from day one. Parking is available on site (our car was parked five steps from the flat's door!) and, when the weather allows it, you can ski on and out.

Absolutely charming and cozy appartment in a nice area where you have plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The hosts thought about anything to make your stay great- all the small things for a comfortable stay are included. The hosts are very welcoming and nice, and we appreciated their support during our visit. Thank you so much dear Jolanda and Nicolas for our great vacation in Axalp. We absolutely loved the appartment and the area. Thank you!

The location is lovely in the lower part of Axalp village. We visited in summer and it's very quiet, and the scenery is beautiful. There's very little in the village itself, but that was exactly what we were looking for and expected. The property was stunningly clean and the staff were all lovely. Beautiful walks straight out of the property.
