Million dollar view on the property! Close to Xianggong Mountain that we went for the sunrise and the panoramic view of the Li River (you pay for the ride). The owner is very knowledgeable about her profession (geologist) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide free pickup and drop off at the ferry (ferry is 5 RMB each way) and at the railway station as well. If you want to take a break after a busy trip and enjoy the comfort in a very nice surroundings, this is the place! The property itself is a little museum.

I stayed at XY.Yun House for two nights while traveling alone, and it truly felt like discovering a hidden gem. The surroundings are stunning, with a tranquil atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The pool deserves special mention—it’s one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, seamlessly blending into the lush forest behind. Looking up from the water, you’re treated to a breathtaking view of the Yangshuo mountains—a scene straight out of a dream. The food was delicious, and the entire staff was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. But I must especially mention Jody, who was the highlight of my stay. She is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Jody went above and beyond—she accompanied me throughout my stay, taking me for walks in the scenic village, exploring nature on an e-scooter, shopping together, and even treating me to a local ice cream. It felt like I was exploring Yangshuo with a dear friend. Thank you, my beautiful friend Jody—you made my stay unforgettable. All in all, this was a magical and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend XY.Yun House to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality

Yangshuo Shui Mo Ju is a cute guesthouse across the river on the quieter end of town. We loved the tastefulness of the decorations, recommendations for activities to do, quality of the food and helpfulness of the staff.
