Javier, Roger and the team were brilliant. They went out of their way to make us feel very special - it was my boyfriend's birthday and they decorated the room to help me surprise him. The tent is spacious, the bed comfortable and humongous and everything you need to make a quick meal if needed. You are surrounded by the forest and you fall asleep to the sound of the forest, wind and rain. We didn't see any animals except a couple of spiders but you hear the birds in trees the moment the sun goes up.

Breakfast at this hotel was some of the best we had in Costa Rica. The staff was always so attentive and available at any time to assist and even took the time to learn our names. The room was so nice with a lot of modern furniture and amenities. Highly highly recommended to stay here during your time in Monte Verde. Pura Vida!

We booked last minute due to an issue at another hotel. They were very accomodating, the reception was very warming and friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean, large and the location was perfect for our needs. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The morning breakfast was superb. We recommend this without hesitation and would stay there again.

Absolutely breathtaking! Our stay at Hotel Belmar was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the stunning landscape of Monteverde, this hotel boasts the most picturesque location imaginable. The location was perfect for our requirements - only a short drive to the Monterverde Ecological Park, the El Tigre waterfalls and a night hike we'd booked. Bars and restaurants were about 5 mins drive away and there was a good range to choose from. There was plenty of parking at the accommodation and only a very small number of rooms (5?) - also a jacuzzi outside that was on and hot 24/7. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice - a good supply of hot and cold running water, a fridge in the room, a small electric heater (which we did need!) and internet was reliable.
