Great spot -- quiet and NOT on a main road. Hosts are super friendly and the room and facilities are very clean and comfortable. As a bonus for me: the puppies are a lot of fun.

Generally quiet, even next to the highway. We were greeted by the owner's two teenage sons. Clearly managers in training. The kitchen beside the pool was well equipped for our breakfast of cold cereal. There is a hot plate and BBQ which we did not try out. Both beds were pushed against the walls. We were able to move the double bed away from the wall and use the side chair so both sides of the bed could have a bedside table of sorts. Towels are thick, soft.and absorbant. Shower is slow to heat but then warm.

Hotel Huacas is a wonderful new place to stay in Huacas, Guanacaste! The rooms and property are very clean and look great — everything feels fresh and well taken care of. The owners are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make you feel at home. You can really see how much they care about their guests. Highly recommended if you're looking for a cozy welcoming stay in the area! Thank you, Melinda and Miguel, for your amazing hospitality! The hotel was awesome! we loved the pool and all the wildlife. The owners and staff made us feel right at home and took excellent care of us, even helped us find a car to rent while we were there. Cj met us there upon our arrival and was kind enough to take me to a restaurant to get food for my wife and son. 10 out of 10 would recommend! we will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Avellanas.

Incredible first class attention from Arnoldo, all the staff and the chef. Rooms are spacious, new and clean, and the private pool is just excellent. The smaller size of the hotel allows you to receive an ad-personam treatment that it’s impossible to get even at the best hotel chains. Totally recommended!
