This was a great get away. There were three rooms and about 8 beds. But no need to stay inside much because it had nice terrace area and a great well-kept 1 km hike to a little lake and to see monkeys. They keep all sorts of animals on the property so my daughter had great fun. They have big swings, hammocks and even a tiny fishing pond. Owners so helpful, even drive us to get groceries because our car wasn’t great. Oh, and we counted 70 chicken decorations in the casita. It was a fun challenge :-)

The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)

Amazing place, we'll definitely want to visit again. So beautiful and the hot springs were gorgeous. We stayed there for almost 3 weeks with our 1 year old baby. Some of the pools were chlorine free which was perfect for us and for the baby. The pools were all in different temperature so we could easily find a fitting one for our baby. The restaurant was great with some vegan options, affordable prices just slightly more expansive than downtown. The staff was so kind, they even bought our baby a birthday gift for his one year old celebration. Little souvenirs shop with cute things. One of the best views to the volcano. Comfortable beds. Plenty of storage place. Warmly recommended! Either with your partner, children or just even for a day entry to the hot springs. Special thanks to the friendly staff, Betty, Joselin, Josue, Rolando and all the rest.
