A wonderful place to experience the true, authentic nature of Costa Rica in a secluded setting. The property offers breathtaking natural beauty with a stunning waterfall, a vast area including a private forest, lakes, rivers, and fresh, clean air. It’s perfect for group visits, whether for a celebration, event, birthday, or even a wedding if desired. The administration is incredibly friendly and responsive—truly amazing people who are always ready to help with anything you need. There’s a small store nearby where you can find essentials, and just a 10-minute drive will take you to an incredible local soda (a traditional Costa Rican eatery). During our travels around Costa Rica, we tried many sodas, but I can confidently say this one was the best—delicious, authentic, and unforgettable. They even offer food delivery! The property also features a barbecue area for guests to use, and there are plenty of opportunities for daily walks to enjoy the surrounding nature. You can even pick coconuts straight from the trees! Not far from the property is a volcano, adding even more to the experience. The location is excellent, only about an hour to an hour and a half from Liberia Airport, nestled in a beautiful park area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional Costa Rican getaway.

If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing nature escape, this is the perfect place. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by lush gardens full of fruit trees, plants, and flowers — absolutely beautiful. The apartment was large, very clean, and smelled fresh. The beds were soft, and having a full kitchen was a big plus since there aren’t many restaurants nearby. Karol, the owner, greeted us warmly upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the apartment. She even shared a cacao fruit with us to try, a thoughtful personal touch. This property is ideal for travelers looking for a tranquil getaway away from the busy tourist spots in Costa Rica. It’s close to Tenorio Volcano National Park and the Rio Celeste River, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who want to explore nature and unwind in a peaceful setting.

Señor Ernesto has created a wonderful retreat on his family farm. We traveled over miles of rocky roads to this hidden out-of-way Eden and enjoyed two nights of great conversation with Ernesto and fabulous food from his farm. It does not get any more “Farm to Table” than this! If you are longing for a quiet retreat in the jungle, great people and delicious food, go out of your way to stay here. We travel and stay in Costa Rica for three to four months each year and this will be a definite annual visit. Vocare Finca is a model of sustainable tourism and farming. Ernesto has reforested half of his hundreds of acres that were once grassland for cattle. If you are interested in ground level land stewardship this is a must visit.

The place was just 5 mins driving distance to the volcán Tenorio NP. Unfortunately, we couldn’t not see wild Tapir while we were staying, but the view from the balcony was great!

The staff were really accommodating and friendly, the breakfasts were huge and delicious. Gorgeous rooms and had the most amazing toucan experience just sat out on the terrace.
