We had a large room, high ceilings, absolutely clean, large bed. Tasty breakfast. The lady of charge was very friendly. The location is excellent -- 15 min or less by foot to the historical city centre. 10 min by car to the famous Veste of Coburg, the fortress-museum with a lot of collections, incl. Lucas Cranach the Older and a special courtyard of old canons!

I've stayed at the Vienna House Easy quite a few times. It's worth paying the little bit extra for a lounge room, but even the standard rooms are quite spacious. There's not much of a view, but that's not important to me. Instead you get smiling, pleasant staff members, a first-class breakfast, a cozy hotel bar for an evening drink and/or snack, and an extra quirk factor. In the main stairwell, there are plants you are welcome to take to your room for the length of your stay. There's a hopscotch game woven into the carpet on another level of that stairwell. You may end up with the lounge room with an exercise bicycle in it. A free, large bottle of water is waiting for you upon arrival. And the beds are very comfy indeed. If you're a decent walker, you can easily get downtown without needing the car, and Coburg is a town with plenty of charm. Keep your eyes open as you walk the central streets, and you'll find yourself walking by buildings from the early 15th century. You can indulge Victoria and Albert nostalgia, visit both the strongholds of the Dukes of Saxe-Coburg (the elegant Ehrenburg in town and the massive Veste perched atop the nearby steep hill, so formidable it was never taken by force of arms). And then there's Albert's home, the Rosenau, not far outside of Coburg and the gorgeous modern glass museum along with it. Definitely worth a stay!

The hotel is located right next to the train station, which was very convenient for me. As mentioned in other reviews, when the windows are closed, you don't hear the noise of the trains. The room is exactly as shown in the photographs, very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. I would happily stay here again.

We were so lucky to visit Coburg during the Dumpling...

We were so lucky to visit Coburg during the Dumpling Festival. The entire square had Dumpling, Sausage, and Beer vendors, seating areas and music entertainment. The Veste Coburg is a must-see, most impressive castle complex! There is a bus to take you up there as the Veste Coburg sits high above the city. You need a whole day to see everything from the buildings, the art, glass and porcelain collections, guns and armour collection. You don't need a tour at the Veste Coburg. There are also several other palaces and castles to visit in the area such as the Schloss Ehrenburg. The Schloss Ehrenburg is in the center of town. Visiting the Schloss Ehrenburg is not possible without taking a tour. The tour is only in German. Although we didn't speak German, it was worth it to participate in a tour in order to see the Schloss. Two days is not enough to explore this town. The restaurants are very good, and the Prince Albert Cafe has impressive desserts. The Coburg website is well-down and is very thorough regarding all the things you can see in Coburg. The Brauhaus Stadl is an excellent choice for dinner and in my opinion, the food was awesome, and the service was the best!

The castle Veste Coburg is very impressive.

The castle Veste Coburg is very impressive. Many important collections of armors, weapons, and art collections. The hunting room in it is unique. This weekend, they also have some festival in the historical center. People are waiting in a long queue buying Klöße.

Very central location, but difficult to find in a car. Parking close by, but not cheap. Very spacious room in historic building. Nice to have a coffee machine in the room. A great view from a front facing room. The Lorelei was a friendly and tasty restaurant with pleasing ambience, inside and out. Lovely beer garden in the centre near the theatre. Very helpful and friendly receptionist, Beate.

Coburg is a charming small town, with a medieval quarter well preserved, with many options for restaurants, parks, with a lot of history around. Veste Coburg is one of most well preserved castles in Europe. I recommend the visit.

The city of Coburg was beyond our expectations!

The city of Coburg was beyond our expectations! It has an impressive castle with an excellent museum inside, as well as a big palace and a very beautiful old town with an exquisite market square, one of the most beautiful in Bavaria. Beyond the old town, there are lots of beautiful private houses built in the late 19th - early 20th century. We had only half a day and a morning in Coburg and visited only the castle, unfortunately, but I hope to return and have a tour of the ducal palace as well!

Coburg is an excellent example of a typical old German city. The architecture is gorgeous, there is beautiful, giant old fortress filled with some incredible history, and just about every restaurant serves very good traditional German cuisine. The town is completely walkable and very scenic.

A delightful hotel hosted by the wonderful Winter who was very helpful and accommodating when I got lost on what should have been a straightforward 15 minute walk from the train station! The interior design along with the crockery and cutlery are superb. There is a wonderfully stocked honesty bar adjacent to the first-floor balcony where you can have a nightcap to round off your day. Breakfast is also very good.

Great location, wonderful view on the Coburg marketplace from our room. Contact-less online check-in. Coffee machine in the room. Everything was nice, tidy and working.
