As visitors to the bi-annual Pferdestarke event, we have stayed at Hotel Zur Burg Sternberg every 2 years since approximately 2010. The buffet style breakfasts and evening meals are delicious. The location is quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, as our German isn't brilliant, it was good that some staff spoke excellent English. Special mention to Stella and Stephanie.

We used this accommodation as our base to visit the Christmas Market at Schloss Bückeburg. It was an old barn/farmhouse that had been completely renovated into a comfortable 1-bedroom apartment. A fully-equipped kitchen with floor heating as you entered the apartment then upstairs to the bathroom, lounge and separate bedroom. Very tastefully decorated. We self-catered so our hostess kindly directed us to the nearby (4km) Marktkauf shopping centre, which was excellent as well as helpful local hints. We'll be back in the summer.

The apartment was very cute and pretty, it had everything needed for a stay as well a lot of thoughtful ditales to ensure enjoyable stay. The communication with the host were also very smooth and fast! I would highly recommend this apartment :)

Kids loved their room and the spacious lounge, we had lovely breakfasts and dinners in the dining room and the kitchen had everything we needed. There are shops f9r grocery shopping a short drive away. Location is indeed idyllic and kids noticed how quiet it is up on the hill. Lovely outdoor seating area, even had a bbq. We saw a deer close to the house one morning.
