Everything. The host lady is extremely helpful and friendly. This is a family run spot so the real personal touch is always there. Beautifully laid breakfast. Scrumptious cakes in the cake shop (I wish we had time to taste them all). LOVED the black forest cake. My son unfortunately got sick during the stay, the hostess even gave us Kekse for children that are good for the tummy. The room was charming, carved with wood, it gave the feel of a treehouse. Would love to stay there again.

Staying at Hotel Central Garni in Triberg was an absolute delight — easily one of the most memorable and welcoming hotel experiences we’ve ever had, thanks in large part to Christof, the owner, whose genuine hospitality and great sense of humour went above and beyond the usual standard. From the moment we arrived, Christof made us feel truly welcome. He personally greeted us, helped with our bags, and offered excellent local recommendations — including local museums, the Triberg waterfall, and which restaurants to try. His knowledge of the area and thoughtful suggestions made a real difference in how we experienced the town. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable. Hearing the waterfall made for such a restful sleep! Breakfast each morning was a highlight: fresh, plentiful, and served with attention to detail. By the second day, Christof already remembered our coffee preference and had it ready for us — a small gesture that meant a lot. What really made this stay special was the level of personal care. When I mentioned I was traveling by train, Christof helped with our arrival and even offered to store a bag after checkout for a later pickup. Triberg itself is a lovely destination, but our time at Hotel Central Garni — and Christof’s outstanding service — is what made the trip truly unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Black Forest. You’ll be in good hands!
