We loved the spectacular location, which offered easy access to hiking and snorkeling. The gardens on the property are beautiful , and there are incredible sunset views over the Caribbean from the pool. It is a totally relaxing atmosphere. The hotel staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed,as well as immaculately clean. The food is delicious. We especially loved the local specialties in the menu and enjoyed the selection of bush rums.

Really great stay! Everything was comfortable; the hot water shower worked well, nice fridge/microwave/hot water kettle/French press for coffee. Even if you book the room with garden view, you still get a sea view! Dinner at restaurant absolutely amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were very sweet and accommodating; they would always go above and beyond for us and the picnic lunches were so helpful. The food was amazing. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts, the selection of fresh juices and the lobster. We opted for the all-inclusive plan and have zero regrets! Sunset Bay is away from the noise of the cities but very easy to get transportation to your next destination and all of the local drivers know it by name. We will definitely return here on our next visit to Dominica.

Paula and Jan who own Mabrika could not have been more helpful. We were set to walk the WNT (South to North) the following week, and they allowed us to store some gear that we didn't need at Mabrika (where we would return to later). Whilst they ran errands in the capital (1 hr drive), they gave us a lift to Roseau, which allowed us to grab our trail permits early. They showed genuine interest on our adventure, asked that we informed them of our progress, and took a group photo of us before we left. Genuinely lovely people.

Rooms have a great view of the river. Staff is amazing and very responsive. Had a slight issue with shower thar was corrected very quickly. Lots of fruit trees on property. My son lived off the mangos and guava. Walking distance to diving (scuba) shop. Grocery walking distance (unless stacking up on water). Beach and restaurants are 5 minute drive.
