When I visited this place, it opened just a few months. You have to think of it as a hotel where you can use the kitchen, the lobby, the dining area, the roof terrace,... the design and furnishing was sober but cosy! Also the fact that you can kook yourselves in a very large kitchen (8 pits, 2 sinks, many different worktops,...) is a real real plus. If you need to be in that area, this is a must-go.

This B&B is centrally located in Cómpeta and is an absolute delight. A traditional house in Cómpeta with an interesting history. It is just around the corner from the main square, yet still on a quiet street. We felt very welcome and comfortable. We are grateful to Amber and Jason who are excellent hosts, helpful in every way, from their communication before you arrive giving clear instructions on parking via whatsapp, and throughout our stay, including assisting as needed with suitcases. More importantly, they are friendly and courteous hosts that take every opportunity to share information on restaurants, activities and features of the area. In great part they make the experience of Cómpeta complete and must be very proud of what they have created with Casa Maroma. The breakfast is excellent. Good home made selection every morning and very good coffee. Our room was clean, comfortable and restful, good linens, tv, and really all you need. The Casa has a cozy common living room with fire and a roof terrace filled with plants and a comfortable and relaxing lounge area. Amber and Jason shine through in the decoration of their Casa with a fusion of traditional Spanish, with tasteful modern features, local art, and warm beautiful touches of their native Cornwall. Can highly recommend this charming B&B. Would return to Cómpeta for the lovely and friendly energy of the village, and to their B&B Casa Maroma without hesitation.

I absolutely loved my stay in this beautiful and lovingly curated place. The location is perfect - right in the heart of a magical village with a charming plaza, wonderful restaurants, unique little shops, and a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. I slept incredibly well, and everything about the space felt serene and special. The owner is warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented. You can really feel the love in every detail - from the fresh flowers and lovely nuts to the traditional wine waiting in the room. Everything was spotless and well organized. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to come back.

I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but the road leading to the property is perfectly signposted and easy to follow — no way to get lost. Even cars with low suspension will have no trouble getting there. The place itself exceeded all expectations. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The owners are genuinely amazing — friendly, caring, and always around to make sure guests feel at home. Breakfast was excellent — fresh, generous, and really satisfying. You can tell everything is prepared with care. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by stunning views that make you want to stay forever. It’s one of those rare places where you instantly feel relaxed and disconnected from the outside world. I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know — and I’m already looking forward to coming back. A big hug to your wonderful dogs!

Southern Spain and stayed in this amazing house “Casa Lirios”. It’s not far from Cómpeta (up in the mountains) and very remote. The house is spotless, loads of parking space and all the amenities you require including outside BBQ and Swimming pool. It’s extremely private with stunning views over the mountainous landscape. Thanks to Carmen and Julios who were amazing hosts.

Very nice little village in which you can stay without...

Very nice little village in which you can stay without stress. The area is so beautiful that it takes your breath away. Walking, e-biking is super. But be prepared for up and down, high and low. Take your good shoes on and explore something new before it becomes too touristic.

Lovely little town (village) some small places around ti visit as well. Bike rental shop in the centre, lots of restaurants, bars, some flat paths buts mainly up and down the hill. Safe, quiet place, great community.Good internet signal in town.

Cómpeta is a small, beautiful and quaint little town on the Andalusia mountains, surrounded by wineries and winding roads. Cute little restaurants, bars and cafés for eating or watching the world go by. You can drive to the town square but it's easiest to walk around and explore the little alleys and shops. It has a slight hippie vibe to it with many crystal shops. Very queer friendly. We spotted raindow flags all around the city and tons of queer folk. Would recommend for anyone looking for a little escape from the city.

Amber and Jason were excellent hosts they could not have been more friendly, helpful and do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was fabulous sitting on the terrace with amazing views over the mountains and to the sea. The location is excellent right near the square but still very quiet and peaceful would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Competa, we will definitely be coming back.

Anthony and Ian are the perfect hosts, both welcoming and attentive. Casa Jardin oozes style and comfort and its proximity to the square makes it a superb place to stay. Our air conditioned bedroom was exceptionally clean and modern, on par with a boutique hotel. We would highly recommend this place and are looking forward to returning.

The apartments are set just outside Competa - an easy walk if you’re mobile and an easier drive if not. The place is spotless, calm and peaceful. A real oasis with fantastic hosts giving you top tips and recommendations The kitchen was well equipped, the shower pressure great, good quality finishes and in brand new condition.
