Perfect location for visiting Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park - just entrance of Vall de Pineta. Perfect restaurant in walking distance (keep in mind, it requires to walk about 100m along the road). Couple of nice hikes near by. Accessing the park thru other entrances requires more than an hour drive. Beds are not perfect, but acceptable. WiFi connection is not stable and very slow at rush hours, but you are hardly going to surf web having such surroundings. There is no A/C, but building is keeping cool during the day. Kitchen is very well equipped.

Really comfortable and spacious room with a nice balcony for reading and looking at the mountains in the afternoon. The air conditioning worked perfectly. There was also a small, local swimming spot at the lake behind the hotel, which was great to cool off on the hot summer days. The staff were very friendly. For hiking - we drove to two areas (about 30-40mins away) on the two days we stayed, as these hikes were more picturesque than the ones leaving from Escalona. The hotel was also able to provide a packed lunch for a fee. The information centre in town (<10 min walk from accommodation) were really helpful in providing maps, routes and information for hiking.

The location was amazing. Right in the heart of nature with mountains and waterfalls all around. The room was great with a window that opened to the view of the waterfalls. Breakfast was amazing. Very extensive buffet. A bar and outside patio was also a welcome bonus to sit outside and take in the views. Hiking trails all around. Very tranquil place to retreat to.
