We loved this stay. In a small village with just a church and the bar-restaurant (very good). There is a car park at Place de l'Eglise which is close to the hotel. Beware the streets are very narrow! The welcome was in Spanish, no English. But that was fine with us. Everyone who stays must have an identity card to give to the hotel. They give you a piece of paper with the map of the village, the codes, the times of the hotel services, everything is well prepared! I loved this attention to detail. The room was large and clean, there were towels and soaps. However the curtains didn't close completely for us, so we were woken by the day. The breakfast was perfect. If you are gluten intolerant you can even ask for a gluten free bread and biscuits. There were charcuterie, milk, coffee, fruits, cakes, eggs, cereals,... all you need. There are a relaxing backyard-garden-terrace, a board games little room with free tea and coffee with biscuits and some tourist magazines with recommendations in the entrance hall.

A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Beautiful B&B in the midst of the Girona Hills. Super friendly staff, they'll go out of their way to make sure you have every thing you need. If you wanna do some serious (or even not so serious!) cycling this is such a good location, right by Mare de Déu del Mont, Rocacorba is fairly close aswell, even Vallter2000 is do-able if you want to go for a big day in the saddle. There's a rumour even the pro's come to this place ;) That being said, even as a non-cyclist you will definitely enjoy your stay here, it's simply beautiful! Very secluded, if you want peace and quiet, you will find it here! The food was delicious and healthy, I only had one dinner and breakfast but I can safely say these people only serve high quality food.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hopsters! The location is unbeatable — right in the stunning historic center of this medieval village. In the evenings, we really enjoyed tasting some locally brewed beers and the delicious food served just downstairs at their brewpub. The suite has a small but well-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing a little pica-pica while enjoying the beautiful views over the square. The rooms are designed with incredible taste, using natural materials that give the space a warm, stylish feel. The beds are big and very comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious and modern — everything is brand new and in perfect condition. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, character, and a great value. We can’t wait to come back!

This quiet village is situated off the more touristy sites...

This quiet village is situated off the more touristy sites in the surroundings. However, it takes only a short drive to Besalú or Olot. Tortellá itself does not offer much to see. There is only one tavern-like restaurant in the village. Tortellá is, however, an ideal basis to explore the Alta Garrotxa with its impressive cultural and historic sites and its breathtaking landscapes.

A very 'ethnic' experience in the heart of the town's narrow and car-free streets (but easy walking with luggage from nearby parking; actually driving to the hotel through the surrounding lanes is an interesting challenge!). Comfortable and clean room, and then a truly amazing breakfast with a huge variety of food. Definitely an experience to recommend!

It´s a nice hotel and the rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. The WiFi connection was also quite good. You can park your car for free at a close distance.
