A hidden gem with fantastic views. It was so tranquil. The staff were very pleasant and the accommodation very comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were great, a lovely selection. I can recommend the hot stone massage, it was amazing and the spa very relaxing.

This place really blew me away with its spacious, comfortable, clean and modern rooms and excellent, caring staff who were the perfect balance between respecting my autonomy and providing support. I would definitely go back, I felt so good staying there and Cadiar was so good for me- nature hikes around the corner with so many options and community events for free like brilliant films open air underneath the stars. I loved it all. I felt safe as a single solo woman travelling and it was very peaceful.

If you like places with real character, history, and beauty, this one’s a must. Casa de Doña Concha isn’t just somewhere to sleep, it’s a true experience in the heart of the Alpujarra. The house is absolutely gorgeous, full of charm, and keeps the soul of a classic Ugíjar casa señorial. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, super comfy beds, and a kitchen with everything you could need. The pool was perfect for cooling off and watching the sunset, and the patio terrace made the best spot for dinner and a couple of glasses of wine. Simply idyllic!

This is a very special place. Don’t go there expecting a boutique hotel with all the fancy trimmings - Las Chimeneas isn’t like that. Go there for peace, wonderful fresh, local food, and owners who know and love the area. If you enjoy walking, Emma and David will give you directions to explore the paths of the Alpujarras, or even go along and show you the way, with tons of information to share as you go. If you enjoy doing nothing, the tiny pool is perfect for the occasional dip in between lounging with a good book. Our room was very simple, but had everything we needed. And did I mention the food? We won’t forget our stay, thanks to everyone at Las Chimeneas for a fantastic few days.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Very safe for our 2 bicycles. Clean, Comfortable and everything we needed to prepare our own food. Beautiful location, 15 minute walk to the stunning Old Town and lots of local walks along the river side. We really enjoyed our very peaceful, restful stay here. Oh and clear starlit sky too! This place really blew me away with its spacious, comfortable, clean and modern rooms and excellent, caring staff who were the perfect balance between respecting my autonomy and providing support. This is a very special place. Don’t go there expecting a boutique hotel with all the fancy trimmings - Las Chimeneas isn’t like that. Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of...

Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of a large mountain. It has far reaching views and you can even see the sea on a clear day. There are almond farms all around and the blossom was beautiful in January. It feels rather like stepping back in time and is well worth a visit. Most places were shut while we were there as we arrived late on Sunday afternoon and left on Tuesday morning but I'm sure there are nice places to eat and drink at busier times. There are many footpaths in the area and it would be a great place to use as a base for hiking.
