Great location for coming off the ferry. Really peaceful area with some beautiful views. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. They managed to find us a room for when we arrived at 6.30am which was super helpful as we were so tired after a brilliant night in the ferry over from Stockholm. Breakfast should also get a mention. The tastiest salmon I’ve ever had and traditional Åland bread. Delicious!

Hotel Esplanad is 200 metres from Mariehamn’s main street, Torggatan. It offers simple yet comfortable rooms with cable TV and free parking.

We had two rooms facing the hotel interior courtyard, street level. These were dream rooms for persons arriving on the island. The rooms were quiet, clean and simple: nothing too much, but everything essential. Practicality in Åland manner as it's best. Breakfast was good. We fell asleep to the "spring concert" of sea gulls.

Located next to the Pommern Museum Ship in Mariehamn, this hotel features indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and a garden terrace. A well-equipped gym is available for guests free of charge.
