Very nice and spacious cottage in a calm area. It was warm inside even when -25C outdoors. Well equipped kitchen, big TV with Netflix. We could watch northers lights directly from terrace.

We had an amazing stay in Utsjoki. We stayed in the suite for 4 days, and then 1 day in the Glass house. They were both amazing: we loved using the hot tub in the evening looking at the stars. The suite is gigantic, and although it is big for just two people, we enjoyed having two bathrooms and a double shower. The kitchen is great and well-stocked, and the suite has a nice view over the river. The suite is right next to the restaurant. The glass house was smaller, but beautifully decorated and with a super comfortable bed, and the view from the igloo windows is stunning. We were lucky enough to see the aurora, and it was a unique experience to lie on the bed and look at the aurora overhead for hours. Be aware that if you stay in the Glass house from March onwards, you are going to wake up at 5 am or earlier because of the light outside. Both the suite and the glass house are excellent value for money, anywhere else in Lapland you would pay at least double for such luxury accommodation, and here you have the privacy and peace of a small establishment, instead of being surrounded by dozens of other igloos/cabins like in many of the more famous resorts in Lapland. If you are staying longer, we would recommend the suite over the glass house, because it has cooking facilities and is more comfortable. All in all, Hotel Valle has been one of our favourite holiday accommodations ever!

Big and spacious. Kitchen was so well equipped that we could stay a whole month. Right in the centre of itsjoki. Jounni was so helpful and understanding and tried his best to communicate with us in English :) what a gentleman and what a beautiful home. We felt right at home

Best place we stayed in Lapland overlooking the Tanna River with Norway across the river on the other side. Beautiful secluded cabin for a perfect family getaway. Stairs right down to the raging river. HOT sauna house cabin next to the main cabin was just fabulous

Very friendly and helpful owner. We didn't notice the time zone change and missed the only daily bus to Inari. The owner kindly and quickly found us a free ride with a car going south to Inari. It definitely saved us the day.
