It was a great / superb experience staying in this beautiful hotel. Arriving in the city and at hotel means entering a different world which offers relaxation and French hospitality. Flowers and vine branches everywhere with old machinery such as wine presses on display. If you love romantic rooms with old but restored furniture (like we do), however with a modern bathroom it is a MUST to book this hideaway! We also had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant - it was very tasty and the prices were totally fine! Another plus point: As it was my boyfriends birthday i asked if it is possible to have a small cake in the morning ... well it worked out and we both had 2 wonderful tartelets in the morning - THANK YOU! In general the region is very scenic - there are quite a lot of things to do (especially for kids being 6/7+) BUT Bergheim is very sleepy. If you want to have a drink in the evening (especially on Wedndesdays / thursday when the restaurant is closed) it is almost impossible to find something. So get some drinks in advance and take advantage of the 2 beautiful inner courtyards of the hotel.

The room looked exactly like on the photos and event better an bigger than expected. The owners seems to have a great taste. With a great attention to details. Very helpful host. Totally liked the shared spaces. We played snocker and the working jubox was a nice surpise. The SPA is small but nice.

Amazing design of the hotel in general and the junior suite, beautiful gardens by the stream. The breakfast served in the gardens near the stream in a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. I have stayed in this hotel chain before. I like their hotels because they are cheap, clean and no-frills. This looks like a brand new one. It was very comfortable and though on quite a busy road was completely sound-proofed. I recommend. Sélestat town centre, which is really pretty, is easily accessible by car.

We visited in March, so a quite time of year.

We visited in March, so a quite time of year. We chose Bergheim as we had travelled by train and bus from Basel. We could walk to a number of vineyards and wineries in and around Bergheim as also to Ribeauville, the nearest large village. Our favourite restaurant was Auberge des Lavandieres, where we ate traditional Alsacian food. A stunning unspoilt Medieval French Village!

Lovely little town with a few good restaurants.

Lovely little town with a few good restaurants. When we were there, the town seemed to shut down very early, with limited options to grab a drink or a light snack. The night our hotel's restaurant was closed, as well as that of their sister restaurant, the manager had to scramble to find dinner bookings for 5 couples who were on a walking tour. I highly recommend making advance bookings if you are to visit this village.

Finding Bergheim was a happy accident for us.

Finding Bergheim was a happy accident for us. We loved the town & all of the Christmas lights made for a wonderful night time walk. We had a lovely stay at La Cour Du Bailli- nice rooms, wonderful staff, & fantastic restaurant. We also walked a short distance away for a wine tasting at Halbeisen. Wonderful host & we purchased several bottles to take home. Would definitely recommend a stay here again!

One of the nice old towns on the famous Route de Vins de...

One of the nice old towns on the famous Route de Vins de Alsace. Small, cosy, surrounded by other small towns of equal beauty, and numerous vyneyards and fieldsm in autumn they are absolutely stunning scinery there. You can use Berghaim as one of the bases to travel around the route and visting various places around. We had dinner in one of the hotels restaurant, very good professional service, nice food, vines, it is called la cave du bailli. Parking is free on many streets and there is large public parking nexto the old tower.

Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was very spacious, clean, and fully equipped — including a well-stocked kitchen and a nice shower area. It was perfect for our family of five; we had everything we needed to feel at home. What really stood out was the hospitality. The front desk staff were excellent — check-in was smooth and efficient, and we were greeted with warm smiles that made us feel truly welcome. At checkout, we asked if we could take a photo as a memory, and they kindly and happily agreed.
