We had an amazing 2 night stay at La Maison du Magistrat. The house is just beautiful, full of charm, warmth and character and is decorated with exceptional attention to detail. From the moment you step inside you are brought into a wonderful, calm and cosy atmosphere making it easy to switch off from the outside world and relax. Breakfast is excellent and tea/coffee is available througout the day with a coffee machine in the bedroom and in the guest sitting room. There is a lovely little terrace to the back to sit out and relax. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was great with a spacious shower and toiletries are supplied. The highlight of our stay was probably the hosts who are the most genuine, lovely kind people who are willing to help with any information or recommendations that they can. You can see that they take pride in the house and seem to really enjoy having guests. We were made feel very welcomed and looked after. I thought that the stay represented excellent value for money and would highly recommend it as a place to stay and experience. We will hopefully get back there someday.

Beautifully restored villa in small village. Close to L’Abbeye de Fontfroide and medieval village of Lagrasse. Lovely spacious bedroom overlooking large garden with pool. Good breakfast that would have been served in the garden in summer. Very friendly hosts who told us the history of the villa. Choice of restaurants within short walking distance. La Vielle Dame, popular with the locals, had a relaxed ambience and excellent menu.
