Everything about A L'Ombre du Chateau is AMAZING! The house, the beautiful, kind, and elegant couple that run it, the food from start to finish, all local products, and the pure beauty of the surroundings, all contribute to an exceptional experience. We had dual sinks in the bathroom, a bidet (yay!), a beautiful tub and great shower. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. We would go there again in a heartbeat!

The site of an old, very beautifully built, sprawling factory is not a place you expect a hotel. It is a museum (and UNESCO world heritage) and as it closes at 18:00 the grounds stay open for the guests. Wandering around is a real treat. Staff was exceptional. We finished our leg of the pilgrimage early and there was a lot of rain so we couldn’t go back out and they helped us find a place to hang out in the hotel and came and got us as soon as our room was ready.

Comfortable hotel right in the center of town, is managed/belongs by/to another one just down the road. Room was very spacious and quiet, parking on the street around the corner not a problem. Breakfast (at the other place) was good.
