A tranquil place, in Pommard and very close to Beaune. Pommard itself is nice to walk around and has a couple of cafes. People cycle in the area and I think the property has bikes to use. The evening meal was very impressive and easily to a michelin recommended level. The property and food may seem a little higher than average but the quality is excellent so it is actually reasonably priced. I think the Beaune area is general a little more pricey. I was able to park my Boxster securely at the property and under cover. The pool is warm. The whole property is like new with a high quality finish. Mersault is also a village to visit nearby. It was my first visit to the area and I wanted to stay somewhere with onsite parking, clean and comfy. I would use this place again and also a great stop over for travelling down through France. Indoor dining is at a single large table as the place has only a few rooms and so I got talking to the other guests, which worked too.

Very comfortable, good sized ground floor one room flat just 50 metres from the (quiet) church in Pommard. The flat has very good facilities - compact kitchen but with everything you could want and a great shower room - and a generous welcome package too. Pommard itself is much livelier than a few years ago - useful shops (bread shop, butcher with excellent deli offerings, wine shop) and a restaurant, pizzeria and wine bar. Still very quiet though. We travel up and down France regularly, sometimes with family, sometimes not. This is the first place we have stayed for the two of us where we agreed we would definitely be happy to return.

Communication was smooth and easy. Same with check-in and check-out. I appreciate that the requested second key was already there without having to do any further logistical coordination. Perfect location not only for Pommard but also within striking distance to Beaune and other villages. I was there for harvest so having the hose by the bins in the courtyard was super helpful along with the washing machine and bathtub to soak in afterwards. There is plenty of space to host a dinner with friends and is dog friendly.

We had an amazing stay in early August 2023. Two very cozy rooms on top of the restaurant. Really tasty 3 course homemade dinner was included in the price. We got to taste some lovely local wines, cremant, red wine and "cognac". The children absolutely loved it as well. W can highly recommend staying at L'Aubergiste for an authentic Burgundy experience.

Charming town just outside of Beaune in Burgundy.

Charming town just outside of Beaune in Burgundy. Situated in the rolling vineyards of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, Pommard offers easy access to exploring this world-renowned wine region. Bike hire is available locally and a surprisingly good restaurant in the village means you don't have to travel far if you don't want to! A visit to the Armand Heitz cellar door with guided tour is an absolute must and a real gem.

Perfect place for a tour to Burgundy. Pommard is a nice little place in the centre of the wine area. This place is a good base for a cosy stay. The owners are friendly and helpful. Pommard has a few restaurants and good wine shops, and is close to everything. This place is well equipped, cosy and has good facilities.

Great place to explore Burgundy, Beaune and Pommard. Brand new spacious rooms with view on the wineyards, excellent breakfast served by the couple owning the place, e-bikes, safe parking, pool. Possibility to dine in and taste wines in the evening.
