Two pubs in East Harling, one with limited opening hours.

Two pubs in East Harling, one with limited opening hours. The food menus looked good but I didn't eat there. The Nags Head sold a lovely pint of Timothy Taylor. Great butchers, a local store, fish and chip shop, sandwich/cake shop and pharmacy + no doubt others I didn't see. Anyone thinking of visiting East Harling should be aware taxis are like hen's teeth, so rare as to be almost non existent. I went to the English Distillery 2 miles out of the village and wanted to get a taxi back at 12:30 on a Saturday. I called the local taxi company and was told the next available one was 18:00!!!. Uber do not cover that area. The English Distillery nearby has tours and a nice selection of select, special whisky. Tours are available (note comment about taxis).

Lovely location on edge of the village with lovey views over the surrounding countryside . . Very welcoming warm friendly host .A home from home lovely comfortable room . Large bathroom with walk-in shower . Lovely garden to sit and relax in . Breakfast was excellent . Nothing to dislike about this B&B .

The location seemed fine when I booked Sunset House.

The location seemed fine when I booked Sunset House. Having the Nag's Head within walking distance was great for dinner. But we wanted to vary the restaurants where we ate and ended up as far away as Thetford. Not a big problem, but something I should have foreseen. Otherwise, the location worked well for an exploration of Norman and medieval churches.

Our host, who owned the B & B, was exceptionally charming, knowledgeable and efficient. Only 3 guest bedrooms are available, and breakfast was served in an open plan kitchen/diner - our host introduced us to the other guests and whilst cooking our delicious breakfast made sure that we each felt welcome and that the conversation flowed well.

Lovely little B&B in the heart of Norfolk. Andrew was brilliant and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed (he even loaned me a toothpaste when I forgot it!). Breakfast was delicious, we had a choice between cooked and continental, and both were tasty and filling! Loved our stay in the quiet pretty village of East Harling and recommend it as a great base for exploring Norfolk/Suffolk.

Andrew was a friendly host who showed us around the property, including our room and several other relation areas. The room was well furnished, clean and comfortable and the breakfast tasty with a good choice of quality produce. Parking onsite was ample and secure. The village of East Harling is picturesque and had a good, well priced menu.

Great location - probably the closest B&B to Snetterton Circuit. Price far cheaper than other local hotels. Big choice for the included breakfast. Run by the friendliest couple you could ever hope to meet. Very busy though so you will likely need to book far in advance.

East Harling is a lovely village surrounded by beautiful country. The Elms was the perfect place for a stopover. Nice comfy bed, great shower and a good breakfast - try the whisky marmalde - from single malt no less! Super and friendly hosts too.
