Very kind, we got an early check in which we didn't expect at all, we just wanted to leave our luggage to easily explore the city. Perfect location, staff was very handy with tour suggestions. Really recommend

Gorgeous location and such a fun place to stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again when back in Edinburgh. The rooms were all named and we stayed in the FG Mitchell room. Was a little small but was everything we needed for 1 night. Super comfy bed and everything just fit the aesthetic of the 1919 ship turned hotel.

Phenomenal location - a stone throw away from the train station and Royal Mile. The hotel’s also very modern and clearly had a refurbishment recently. The breakfast room was on the top floor - offering breathtaking views of the city. The staff was helpful and attentive to all our needs. Our room was well-designed and cosy - just what you need after a long day of sightseeing!

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city and visitors are spoiled for choice with regards to hotels restaurants and bars. In addition most tourists can take in most of the sites in the one day. The old town is a must. The galleries are outstanding and the castle is always worth a visit.

I loved Edinburgh. What an amazing and magical place.

I loved Edinburgh. What an amazing and magical place. The architecture and history! I will definitely try to get back to Scotland! The Christmas markets were spectacular! The royal mile and all the surrounding streets are so beautiful! No wonder the Scots are so proud! Try to get here and see as much as possible! I would love to come back and spend a few weeks road tripping around the whole country in the warmer months.

Beautiful Historical city .Good choice of theatre and entertainments. Good shops and eateries. Good transport links. The Omni Centre has Vue Cinema and eateries in the heart of the centre. There are a choice of Theatre's in the centre providing a mixture of entertainment's in recently modernised environments.

A beautiful old city. Definitely glad we visited. Best food and service close to our hotel was the restaurant, bar, cafe called the Granary just up the road from Malmaison. Loved it so much the first night we had to go back again the next night!

One of my most favourite cities in the world!

One of my most favourite cities in the world! Perfect for groups, solo or even a romantic getaway. There is so much to do every single day, from day trips, dinners, tours and live music. Any city that has such a rich past is always worth a visit. Howies is a very good restaurant, I have eaten here every single time I’ve visited Edinburgh, solo and in a group. You can wander for hours perfectly safely, everything is closer than you think! I can’t wait for my next trip back.

Absolutely wonderful experience from once we arrived until we left this fabulous hotel. Couldn't have asked for more from the wonderful staff. Everything was just amazing which made our first trip to Edinburgh a trip of a lifetime. Access to the city centre so convenient as the number 44 bus stopped outside the hotel & brought us right into city centre.

Breakfast was lovely as was the food in the Pentland restaurant at night. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, the hotel is in beautiful surroundings and Edinburgh City Centre was just a 35 minute bus journey from the top of the road.

Lovely property, handy for visiting the Christmas Market and other places in Edinburgh city centre. Small hotel with only 8 rooms but that was nice as not crowded. Helpful friendly staff. Nice bar. Decorated beautifully for Christmas.

Great location, halfway between airport and Edinburgh city centre (20 mins either way on tram). Tram stop is a 4 minute walk from hotel and there was a retail park with plenty of shops to get your essentials.
