A warm welcome always awaits at the Grandtully. This is our 3rd visit, to celebrate another birthday. We just love everything about this hotel, the tasteful decor, the food, the staff, we arrived in the midst of Storm Babet, and late for our dinner reservation and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. After a 4 hour journey we were ready for a good meal, the food is incredible, the menu is seasonal and all the ingredients locally sourced. With only 8 rooms this place is very special with wonderful friendly staff and personal service.

It has a good selection of walks nearby, a hotel in the village that does good food and drink and a well stocked local shop. Nearby Lodge Hotel has some fantastic lodges with hot tubs. Also quite handy for Blairgowrie and Pitlochry.

Kirkmichael is a quiet wee town but you have the mountains of glenshee to the east and Pitlochry to the west. And an amazing road between. Nice wee shop with cafe for everything you need. Great river walk from the village.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle. In the village are a few lodgings, a restaurant and a small local shop. The village is situated on the road between Blairgowrie and Pitlochry. This road takes you through beautiful countryside, but the road is very winding and mostly single track.

Ken & Moira were very friendly and gave great tips that ensured we got the best from our time there. We ate in Kirkmichael at the local hotel for our first night and again on our third as the food was so good. Although we left our small dog at home for this trip, we quickly found out that dogs were more than welcome at the B&B as well as all the restaurants we visited. Will take her with us next time.

The location was relatively in the middle of nowhere which was ideal. Our hosts, Chris & Gosia were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was large and well decorated with a really comfy bed. My partner said that this was the most comfortable bed she experienced throughout our six night holiday with five different hotels / B&Bs. As mentioned already, our hosts were very accommodating and we had great conversation in the bar on the evening - relying on Chris's recommendations on whisky's to try, which were very nice.

Strathardle Lodge is a run by a very friendly couple, who make guests feel very welcome. The hotel is clean, warm and welcoming. The bar has also just been re-opened which is an added bonus! We had a lovely stay and will definitely return!

The location was absolutely stunning. The deer roaming around the grounds were a joy to watch and the lodge was absolutely brilliant. Hot tub was very welcome after some long walks. Meal in the hotel was fantastic too.
