We loved everything! This place has a great feel- the decor is beautiful and arty and yet feels like home. Our host was helpful and we had such a lovely chat over a delicious breakfast. Homemade jams and Croissants with fabulous coffee was a great start to our day. We loved staying with Christel and will definitely stay here again!

The bedroom is spacious, so are the comfortable bed and the shower. It is very well equipped. For example, a hair dryer and even a dressing gown are provided! The owners are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable although I cannot judge the full english breakfast. Delicious home made bread!

The Eden valley is a lesser known gem of the North West.

The Eden valley is a lesser known gem of the North West. Pennine hills - wooded valleys - great walks - authentic pubs and villages that have almost frozen in time. Make sure you visit the pub in Armathwaite by the river - take a relaxing walk in the adjacent woodland, and be certain to visit the lovely National Trust property at Acorn Bank. Steam enthusiasts may even catch site of a steam-hauled excursion if they are lucky, or simply hop on the diesel powered units and explore. Garage and co-op in the village too for essentials.

Great village for exploring the Eden Vally and North Lakes.

Great village for exploring the Eden Vally and North Lakes. Two pubs in walking distance, handy for train station and motorway isn't far too. Useful well stocked Co-op too for last minute essentials.
