This place was amazing. The views are breathtaking. It's so peaceful with beautiful gardens. The rooms were lovely and you have everything that you need.We had a family get-together for a 60th birthday. We had the most amazing time and 100% would definitely recommend and go back

Beautiful homely bungalow with gorgeous views. Perfect get away for us with our 3 year old son. Private, tranquil and loads of very cute lambs in the onlooking field. Hottub was great and the climbing frame went down very well with our son. We had everything we could possibly need available. Exactly how it looks in the photos, highly recommended.

The accommodation was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need, so it made the place immediately feel like home. The shower was lovely and hot with good water pressure. The setting was incredibly peaceful and relaxing which was exactly what we were hoping for. It was amazing to have BBQ facilities, that really took the experience to the next level. Everyone was warm and welcoming, really wonderful people. Thank you! :)

Llanbister is a small village but we enjoyed a male voice...

Llanbister is a small village but we enjoyed a male voice choir concert in the Community Hall on one evening. On other days we visited Llandrindod Wells, Rhayader, Elan Valley and the Winter Fair at the Royal Welsh Showground.

A quiet village on the main roads from Newtown to...

A quiet village on the main roads from Newtown to Llandrindod Wells. There are no facilities or visitor attractions in the village but the Lion Hotel is well located for walking and trips to mid-Wales attractrions.

The Lion Hotel is a lovely small traditional hotel set in a small peaceful village in a beautiful valley. Ray and Janet are very kind hosts, eager to help, and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clearly the centre for social activities for the surrounding area, and locals were friendly and welcoming. The food was good, and breakfasts excellent. It was a great base for a couple of days break and to do some walking in the Radnorshire hills.

Superb small hotel in a glorious setting in rural Mid Wales.Not a chic boutique hotel but it offers amazing curries and other meals,excellent breakfasts,a comfortable night's sleep and great conversations with the lovely,friendly hosts. Janet has developed her tremendous cooking skills through her regular visits to India and Ray is a knowledgeable,interesting and outgoing person. Just a great place to stay.

Great independent hotel, stunning views out front. Lovely, friendly staff - lots of tips in where to go and what to see. Dinner and breakfast were really good. Room was clean, cosy, a home from home. Overal great overnight stay, thank you.
