The proprietors are excellent people, and meticulous in the upkeep of the property, with a warm Irish welcome. The property is central to all destinations on my list, and most within walking distance, definitely worth a visit, and will be my home away from home on my next visit

Lovely property. Milk in the fridge, pancakes and jam were lovely and unexpected as no breakfast showing when booking. All basics available for self catering.. Host very helpful and was very knowledgeable of the area. We were also able to use the outdoor furniture in the evening.

The house is located in a stunning part of the world. Endless amounts of coastline to visit, it is in a very quiet town, however we did visit the local pub and was made very welcome by the locals. We went as 2 familes and was very spacious for us all and lots of room for the kids to play and the playground on the doorstep is ideal for families. We had a great time, and already have spoken about when we can return. Would highly recommend this hidden gem

I think this is the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in. I'm just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. (Would have liked to have tried the hot tub! So thoughtfully presented - even a deep sleep pillow spray as well as fresh flowers. The setting is beautiful too. Very quiet and peaceful.

Our stay at Saul Lodges was absolutely perfect!

Our stay at Saul Lodges was absolutely perfect! From the breathtaking views to the cozy, spotless, and beautifully designed lodge, every detail exceeded our expectations. The wood-fired hot tub, complete with logs and lighters provided, was a delightful surprise. Although it was our first time using this type of hot tub, it was incredibly easy to operate and wonderfully warm. The location is fantastic, offering stunning views of the Mourne Mountains in the distance. Even on a particularly windy night, the peaceful ambiance and comfort of the lodge remained undisturbed. Each lodge is thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy and a seamless blend of style and function, both indoors and out. With more lodges currently under construction, it's exciting to know that even more visitors will soon get to experience the magic of Saul Lodges. We can’t recommend it enough!

Fabulous accommodation ~ stunning cottage, everything you need, excellent hosts and beautiful scenery. Great pub called The Barn nearby (walkable / less than 5mins drive). Downpatrick town nearby (15mins) for all your amenities. Lots of stunning nearby forest parks and trails, water sports and wildlife. Also easy access to the ferry from Strangford Lough over to Portaferry (Aquarium, Mount Stewart, Restaurants there).
