The location is perfect for visiting the local beaches and villages. Southwold and Aldeburgh were very quaint. Our evening meal was superb, it’s a must if you stay here. The breakfast service was fast, efficient and served with a smile..all in all very nice with a great choice on the menu. Watching the wild life from our garden view was wonderful..all in all a great stay. Totally recommend it.

Beautiful scenery. The surrounding area was quiet and calm, and there were peacocks who lived nearby that roamed around the area. The garden was also a lovely place to sit and relax. There were a couple of very nice corner shops a few minutes walk away. My friend has a feather allergy and the host went above a beyond to get us non-feather bedding which was hugely appreciated.

Very pretty place surrounded by picturesque villages and not too far from some lovely beaches. unfortunately we were only there for a couple of days to attend a family wedding so didn’t get a chance to explore or eat out but the hostesses knowledge of the local areas and eateries was second to none will definitely return fir a longer stay.

Milk would have been an ideal item in the welcome basket We did not visit Saxmundham this time. All three pubs were good, with their own characteristics. The garage up to the main road was a useful store.

Saxmundham is pretty small, with just a few independent businesses. We didn't have the chance to wander around the shops there, as the weather was so awful when we visited. However, they have a good Waitrose and Tesco.

It’s quite close to Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, Southwold,...

It’s quite close to Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, Southwold, and quite a few very nice villages, and a great area nearby for bird watching. Thorpeness is also a good place for a visit. Sizewell has a nice beach where dogs are aloud any time of the year. Saxmundham is a good base for the surrounding places of interest.

Not much of interest in S but good centre for visiting...

Not much of interest in S but good centre for visiting Orford,Aldeburgh etc. Waitrose in town was useful. Good evening walk into pleasant countryside by walking North past the railway line and then left to sports ground.

this lovely little village is only a 10 minute drive from...

this lovely little village is only a 10 minute drive from Aldeburgh, which makes it perfect to stay for the night! After 2300 the whole village goes to sleep and it is lovely and silent! there are a few little shops and plenty of car parking! The food in the restaurant of the Bell hotel is divine!! We loved it!

Great location, handy for all the facilities in Saxmundham (shops, supermarkets, pubs, takeaways, railway station and buses) and convenient to get to highlights of this part of Suffolk (Southwold, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, Minsmere, Dunwich Heath, Sutton Hoo, Oxford etc...). Comfortable cottage, all you need.

The location was excellent - right in the centre of Saxmundham. Costa, Tesco and Waitrose are all in walking distance which is a bonus. The cottage is incredibly spacious and great value for money. It appeared extremely clean on arrival.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage. It was spacious and well equipped. It is well located near to Saxmundham which is within walking distance. There is parking for 2 cars and a nice garden with seating. We would stay again.
