Very atmospheric place to stay, with lovely, cosy interior! The cottage has old (in a good way!) and traditional feel to it, with all of the modern comforts you might need. We stayed there in October, with the outside temperatures on the lower side, and inside was so lovely and warm! Additionally, working log burner added extra warmth and cosiness in the living area. Kim, whom I’ve liaised with regarding the cottage, was very nice and helpful throughout. The location was also fantastic, only short drive to Edinburgh and beautiful Pentland Hills reserve. I’d definitely visit again!

We were there to meet up with friends was ideal for a short visit and the area was handy for Biggar a couple of miles up the road which is very interesting Symington it’s self does not have much and the hotel is on a hill just off the main road

Symington is not somewhere you would rate.

Symington is not somewhere you would rate. Staying in the hotel and visiting Symington would not normally occur in the same sentence i.e. while you might want to stay in the hotel you would never think of visiting Symington - there is nothing to see.

Easy Hotel to find, rooms spotless, comfy bed with soft fluffy pillows/towels with white linen cool smooth sheets. . Soap Products good quality. Bath a bonus. Fully stocked tea/coffee. Stand alone hairdryer. Tv . Loved the main lounge decor especially light fixtures plus the many choices of different seating. Drinks/food reasonably priced. Eg. £20.50 for btle of Pino. Which was nice quality. Lastly plenty secure parking. Staff were excellent.

This hotel is fabulous if you are travelling with your dog/dogs They are warmly welcomed & with the exception of the dining room & few rooms they are allowed everywhere With fabulous spacious grounds for walks
