Rooms were generous and with a sea view. All staff in particular Head Waiter were very friendly and accomodatiing. The Reception staff were also very helpful in providing tips such as excursions, car rental or data mobility. The Location is also very quite and secluded and an onsite mini market as well. Definately come back again.

Afandou Beach is a beautiful, wide, and open stretch of coastline — the kind of place where locals come to swim, which always means it’s a good beach. It’s mostly pebbly with patches of sand, very long, and never feels crowded. Because it’s open to the sea, there can be bigger waves on windy days, which actually makes it feel fresh and natural. It’s perfect for swimming and relaxing, though not ideal for snorkeling, as the seabed is mostly plain. We definitely recommend visiting, especially if you like space and a more local vibe. Still, we personally preferred Stegna Beach, just a short drive away — smaller, more sheltered, and much more diverse. It’s a bit busier with tourists, but offers fantastic conditions for snorkeling, swimming, and spending the day with children.

We were in the Rodos Star Hotel which was up a steep hill...

We were in the Rodos Star Hotel which was up a steep hill and not very close to anything or the Village which was ok but not much to offer. Cost 10.50 euros to get there and very difficult to get a cab back and too far to walk.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Arfna Villas.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Arfna Villas. The villa is modern, very comfortable and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The place was extremely clean and well maintained, which made us feel at home right away. The hosts were amazing, very kind and helpful. They even allowed us to check in early and check out late without any extra charge, which we really appreciated. The villa is located a bit outside of the main town and other nearby areas, so it’s best suited if you rent a car to get around easily. For us this wasn’t a problem and it added to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the villa exceeded our expectations and we would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Rhodes.

The beach is ok. It is pretty rocky. Still nice. Not much else to do around, so I booked a few tours. The supermarket is a long walk away, especially in the heat, so if you are planning on food shopping and don't drive it's not that easy. If you drive you should be fine. The locarion is better if you rent a car. Not that many places to eat, just a few. There is a small convenience store that sells water and a few basic products. Not really fruits or vegetables etc.

We were purposefully looking for a quieter destination to take a break from the big city we live in. I liked that even in the town of Afandou, it wasn't too crowded. Excellent bus connections to other cities, e.g. Rhodes, Lindos . .

The walk to the beach is quite far, so I recommend renting a car right away. There are plenty of restaurants, but not too many shops—still, it was enough. Afandou is a city of mopeds; I’ve never seen so many anywhere else. The center of Rhodes is simply amazing, with countless shops and many restaurants. It felt like life continued throughout the night. The most delicious meat was in the cheapest café.

We had a fantastic stay in Afandou, Rhodes. The villa was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host gave us a genuinely warm and helpful welcome, which made us feel at home right away. The location was perfect — right between Lindos and Rhodes Town — making it super easy to explore the best of the island. The area was peaceful, yet just a short drive from shops, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. We truly enjoyed every moment and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Rhodes.

Beautiful modern villa with all facilities you need and more ! Ideal for two couples with lovely indoor space and three different outdoor sitting areas. Fully equipped BBQ and lovely pool. Ideal location being 30 mins from Lindos and Rhodes old town and airport. You will need a car to get around as not walkable to shops or restaurants but lots of amenities within 5 minute drive.

We had an amazing week in Rhodes staying at Al Mare apartments. We loved the location and that it was so secluded and so close to the sea and all and we used it as a base to explore the whole island. We did have a car though and I think it is needed for this property. Amazing and welcoming stuff and prepared some lovely greek salads for us for lunch once!
