From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed by the incredibly kind and thoughtful owner. She clearly cares deeply about her guests’ comfort and experience, and it shows in every detail. When we entered the room, we were touched to find a beautiful arrangement of local welcome treats—fresh seasonal fruits, homemade sweets, and a traditional drink. It was such a warm and generous gesture that immediately made us feel at home. The location was also perfect—just a short and pleasant walk to the beach. In the evenings, the gentle sea breeze would drift through, creating the most peaceful and calming atmosphere. It was the kind of place where you could truly unwind and enjoy every moment. Our stay was nothing short of fabulous. Every detail was thoughtful, the room was spotless and cozy, and the hospitality was exceptional. We left with wonderful memories and would return in a heartbeat. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, relaxing, and memorable getaway.

The hotel is pretty much new. Clean and good looking design, a great outdoor pool and all the employees were very nice. After reading previous reviews I can say that they have corrected pretty much all the issues from earlier reviews. Very good buffet breakfast. Due to the hotel being full we we're upgraded to a suite with private heated pool. Great experience, would repeat.

We really loved our time at Castro Beach Hotel. Everything was amazing! All the crew is very kind and welcoming. The room is spacious and very clean. Hot water, good shower. For us, the all inclusive systems was great. All the foods are delicious, we could fell a taste of love and greek home in each food. Maleme beach is OK, but through the hotel it is possible to travel to many others beautiful beaches. We will definetely come back, this place is a treasure! Heartfelt thanks for all crew, chefs, barman, cleaning staff! Great service, excelent people!

Friendly and helpful staff. Kyriakos and his colleague fulfill everything we want. The room service is also impressed. Awesome food. The hotel provides Cretan cuisine and plenty of drinks. The property is super clean, beautifully kept, great rooms, a nice bar, two lovely pools and across the road to a beach. The staff are wonderful particularly the reception lady who was genuinely interested in your experience and fantastic at making your stay the best. It was my first solo holiday and I booked it by accident. What a Great accident! This trip has given me back the confidence to travel alone. The hotel is geared towards giving you the choice of making friends or enjoying your own company. The people were lovely and I ended up going on a great trip with them. There is a mixture of ages but of course its luck so just go with an open mind as I did. As someone who travels a lot alone but never to a solo hotel it was brilliant to be around like minded people who you could go places with. It’s a little outside of the town which was not a problem at all as it’s a short bus ride anywhere. There is a reason so many people go back and I definitely will as well!!! If you go with an open mind you will have a fantastic time!!!
