Very good breakfast, dinners in the form of buffet, however the food looks like a la carte. We also loved the evening program (Greek music, pop songs etc). Beds are really comfy. The private pool area is indeed not so private, as many have written here, but it was not any inconvenience for us. Great room cleaning service. Plenty of parking space.

We wanted a last night of luxury to end our holiday in Corfu and Paxos and we certainly got it! Our room had a sea view and was light and airy. The huge bed was very comfortable and we soon got used to the control panel for lights and electric closing of the curtains. Super modern bathroom and enjoyed the bath. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful - helped us old folk print out boarding passes, carried our luggage upstairs. etc. There is a taverna "Mouragia" just around the corner overlooking the sea where we had a delicious dinner - recommend reserving a table in advance. The hotel is ideally situated - short walk into town.The Calliston is not cheap but value for money and super for a special stay. We'd love to return for longer!

Loved this hotel! Boutique, location great - across the road from the beach, flat walk to old town. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel is beautifully restored and elegant, so much attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious, served in a garden oasis, beautiful lighting, our stay was much too short. Would love to stay again

The staff were all super helpful and friendly - from checking in, the cleaners, the servers, the bar-people, all of them were kind and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious - everything one could want and the bonus (for me) were the Greek items (the yummiest spanakopita, loukoumes, the Greek cheese and honey) which were all delicious. The location is great - walking distance to Dassia beach and numerous tavernas. We had older teenagers with us and they liked that we were within walking distance of a vibey bar/club for their nighttime entertainment.

The staff is very friendly and attentive with our needs, always smiling andcommunicative. We really appreciate the fact that they have managed to prepare the room and accomodate us earlier than the check in hour. The rooms are super clean and with all the facilities needed and the entire place has a nice ambiance. It is located very central and the building is recently renovated which was a big plus.

Kommeno is well placed for sightseeing around the island but...

Kommeno is well placed for sightseeing around the island but you need a car to make the most of it. It is not so good for easy access to a beach which would have been nice as it was about 40 degrees C every day of our stay! We liked the Hyalus cafe for breakfast and had a delicious meal in Avalle restaurant.

Great food on offer, super helpful and friendly staff, lovely pool area, good facilities in general..very relaxing. Not much to see in local area - you need a car! Taxis to Corfu town and airport around €25-35. The food is great but you wouldn’t want to eat there every night so you would need a car/taxi to get you alternatives. The spa options are very pricy so not sure if they’d get that many guests. It’s not a 5 star in my opinion but a very nice 4 star. 5 star properties should not have damp in the room on walls (peeling paint) not should smell like sewage. It’s seems quite a package holiday venue - bookable with Tui and BA holidays etc . Get yourself into Corfu town and have a look around the back streets, fortress and into some of the wonderful restaurants on offer there! Kommeno is not near a beach but they do offer buses on some days.

A great place to stay, hire a car to get around as it is a bit of a steep walk to get public transport. Some good local restaurants/tavernas close by but also in the gouvia/dassia/ypsos areas, lots of places to eat also with sea views and a good variety.Spiros and his wife very friendly and always willing to help in any way whilst enjoying a greek coffee. TIps for trips or organising transfers/taxis not a problem.

A peaceful, friendly location on a hill above a pretty beach. Some watersports available at the beach but these do not spoil the tranquil atmosphere. Sunbeds and umbrellas available-seem to be run by the local hotel but no charges were made and the beach is open to non residents. Sandy beach with lovely, clear water. Great for small children as very sheltered and calm. Up on the hill above, a few lovely tavernas (Apovrado, Panorama and Sea View: a small taverna and mini market that sells basic supplies and is run by two lovely, friendly ladies). All of the staff we met in restaurants, tavernas etc. were warm and welcoming. Easy bus ride to Corfu Town (from the main road about 20 minutes walk away) or to surrounding beach resorts with more facilities if required. Lots of steps to the beach and a little hilly around the resort so possibly not great for those who would struggle with this. Some of the most stunning views I've seen in Greece and hard to beat for peace, quiet and relaxation.

15 minutes into town- this was second part of our holiday so...

15 minutes into town- this was second part of our holiday so are in Corfu town most nights. Cabs cost €25 one way and take 4 people. We only in our hotel in Kommeno didn’t venture out as too hot. But private beach here is lovely. Only for hotel guests. Lots of super yachts moored in the bay.

Our hotel was so amazing! The best was the astonishing sea view, pool and amazing staff! The staff helped us with everything we needed, with suggestions on places to visit and renting a scooter. Would recommend this hotel for everyone who is searching for a relaxing stay away from big crowds. Renting a vehicle is definitely convenient, since the hotel is a bit far from the bus stop.

Location: ideally located to reach in 20-25 minutes scooter ride the most beautiful beaches and Corfu town. Obviously you need to have a rental (car or scooter). Breakfast: freshly prepared everyday, wide selection and good quality.
