I had an amazing stay at Efenli Arnes Homestay - the location is beautiful, and the staff is so helpful and kind. The reef right outside the homestay was great for snorkeling, and Arnes also took us on a snorkeling tour to Cape Kri and Friwen Wall which were amazing spots. It is a warm and convivial atmosphere with other travelers, I wish I had stayed longer!

The location is really exceptional, it's basically like being in paradise, you just have to walk a little bit to get into the water. Other thing to note is the porch of the bungalows with two hammocks where we spent many hours. We also really liked the dining area, which was very close to the bungalows and right in front of the beach. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.

Lovely home and family overlooking the paradise of Raja Ampat - dive into an aquarium directly from the terasse of your bamboo hut. Mama is an amazing cook and Papa brings you to best snorkeling places in the area. To respond to other comments, the roof is fixed and there is a second very comfortable bed in the larger hut. It was an unforgettable positive stay back to the roots in the nature.

I really loved spending my time with Famangkor family (staying there for 10 days instead of initial 5). Meiske, Yadi, Mei, Ognen, Danilo and all the others were very helpful and kind. I've enjoyed staying there, meeting people from the village and observing the fish of Friwen wall which is quite next to the guesthouse (100K for the boat and you can stay there as long as you want or maybe you can swim untill there, I haven't tried). The house reef was very nice, each day new fish to discover (I would still recommend the owner to build some jetty to preserve the corals at low tide when the boats from the other guesthouses and agencies arrive). The matress was comfortable, the linen smelled nice and the bungallow was clean. The food was delicious, various and not deeply fried. What can I say? Once I come back to Raja I will certanly stay there.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Raflow Resort for 5 nights and we’ve had a lovely time! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff will go the extra mile to make sure you have a fabulous and memorable stay in paradise. If you let them know what activities you would like to do, they will organize it for you. The food is phenomenal; everyday there is a selection of fresh fish, chicken, rice, various vegetables and fresh fruit. The rooms are clean and comfortable (soft bed, hot shower, spacious) and the AC is a real plus, we didn’t encounter any mosquitos. Overall a great place to stay a couple nights to explore Waigeo!

Remember to drink plenty of water, homestay has a dispenser in the room. All boat trips from homestay extra cost, Yeabuba Jetty a great snorkeling spot.

Raja Ampat was a dream!

Raja Ampat was a dream! We couldn't be happier with our stay! Methos, Jonas (our guide), and the family were super super nice to us, and made our trip a dream! We did all the "excursions" with Methos, while Jonas was our guide. They were super flexible and nice with it, and snorkeling was amazing! We saw reef sharks, big turtles, manta rays, and all the different fishes and corals. Absolutely amazing! The homestay is also amazing! It is in the water, and we saw most days dolphins passing by early in the morning and late in the afternoon. We could watch the sunset from the balcony! We stayed for a week there and we felt we needed at least a week more! Small tips and things to take into account. There is no wi-fi, but the 4G works quite well. You can take this time to disconnect, but if not, make sure to have a big internet package plan. The bathroom/shower is with a bucket. Very different, but we got used to it very quickly and was quite nice to have this different experience. There are no fans/ac, so it might get a bit warm at night. Most nights we had a bit of rain, which made the temperature perfect :) All in all, would 100% go back and it made us fall in love with the place. I hope to see you soon Methos and Jonas!
