I can only describe this hotel in superlatives. We were greeted with hot tea and very professional staff members upon check-in. Our room had a fantastic view over the surrounding hills, including the Kanchenjunga. We had water and tea-making amenities in the room. The hotel is quite cold during winter, so wear your jacket in the common areas, but the room was well-heated with a radiator and felt very cozy. It was spacious, with an upper deck where the bed and the bathroom were and a lower deck close to the windows with a social area to enjoy the view. The food in the restaurant was terrific, and so was the service. Altogether, we had an unforgettable experience and will likely come back, despite Darjeeling being several days of travel time from our home.

A great hotel. A cozy bay window with a sofa, perfect for watching Kanchenjunga—and the electric wires. Jokes aside, the team here is fantastic. The location is excellent, and the bean-to-cup coffee is a delight. It’s not new, but it has character and history, making it a truly charming place. I sincerely recommend it. February is cold—no doubt about that. Stepping out of the bath is a challenge, but the heated mattress solves everything—such a brilliant idea!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property, and I must say it exceeded my expectations! The location is unbeatable - it's right next to Mall Road Chaurasta, making it super convenient for exploring the town. And the cherry on top? Stunning Kanchanjanga mountain views from the room! 🌄 The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the service was top-notch. My overall experience was just amazing. When I booked my stay here, I expected it to be like any other hotel, but I was taken by surprise. The hospitality provided by this hotel was more than I had expected. The rooms are very clean and the view is amazing. We can see the entire Kanchenjunga range from the hotel. This is a family-owned business so guests are taken extra care of. Lots of complimentary tea and snacks are provided by the owners who personally make sure your stay is super comfortable and better than expected. They respond to you very quickly and make sure everything is up to the mark. Such a high level of care and service for such a low price cannot be found anywhere else. This is the best property to stay at while traveling to Darjeeling.

I stayed one night at Burdwan Royal Heritage Palace in Darjeeling and it was magical. The room was huge, beautifully furnished, and full of old-world charm. The lush garden was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the view of the mountains was absolutely spectacular. A true royal heritage —peaceful, grand, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for a royal retreat!

Be careful about less width roads sometimes get too bumpy or steep upside and some pathholes could be dangerous if you have not 4x4 veh like bolero,tata sumo gold apart from it takes APPX 3 min to cover 1km pl keep in mind

Excellent stay at Himalok Homestay.

Excellent stay at Himalok Homestay. Mr Sagar Pradhan and Sashi was very much cooperative and very nice host. They took care about all our small to small requirements and fulfilled all our demands in a very efficient and in a polite manner. The couple are very friendly and they made us feel like a home away from home. Best place in respect to connectivity to all places with sharing taxis and vehicles. Best part of the property is the breath taking view of Mount Kanchenjunga from its balcony which is simply the best view in comparison to all the places in Darjeeling. Home cooked food by Sashi was very delicious and healthy. This homestay made our trip memorable. This homestay is highly recommended for all those who are interested to visit to Darjeeling.

Once inside the hotel, we found it very beautiful. The well trained staffs and their hospitality impressed us a lot. The happy tea hour between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the Darjeeling tea & Jhal muri. Room service was excellent. Travel Desk was very cooperating and efficient. Housekeeping is really commendable.

We absolutely loved staying here. The English Cottage combines the best of a hotel and a homestay. Clean, elegant, cosy facilities, with a personal touch. Breakfast in this legendary Darjeeling family's own dining room is a real highlight, and they're full of wonderful suggestions and tips. The views of Kanchenjunga are spectacular!
