Their genuine affection towards their guests and eagerness to give the best local experience. The warm hospitality is commendable. Their villa on the riverside backwaters is awesome. The boat ride fetching us from the villa directly is so convenient. The local Kerala cuisine prepared by Mrs Joan is mouth watering. The early morning and evenings spent at this homestay are truly lifetime memories. We carried back lots of nutmugs from their garden, pure coconut oil gifted by Mrs and Mrs Joseph and ofcourse life time memories. God bless this beautiful couple abundantly !

A warm and sincere welcome from the owners. All facilities were as stated and in good working order. Mosquito nets were available and an extra mattress was provided for an unexpected arrival of an extra person in our party. The lighting, aircon, fans and all equipment were top notch.

The staff are hands down incredible first and foremost. The food was the best I had in 8 days in Kerala. The design, attention to detail and antiques across the property are incredible and makes this feel like a home, not a hotel. The pool, gardens and view are top class. I also had private yoga class each morning that was great.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the entire staff. Every team member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. Their genuine smiles and willingness to help created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better — ideally situated with easy access to beautiful natural surroundings. Whether we wanted to explore local attractions, take scenic walks, or simply relax, everything was within reach. The food was absolutely exceptional. Each meal was a delightful experience, with creative dishes, fresh ingredients, and wonderful presentation. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner all exceeded our expectations — a true culinary highlight! We also loved the variety of activities available in the area. From outdoor adventures and cultural experiences to peaceful spots for relaxation, there was always something exciting to do. The staff gave us great recommendations, which made our days even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay was unforgettable — a perfect combination of comfort, hospitality, and charm. Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks...

Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks around the homestay. Visited a Temple and was lucky enough to see a ceremony which involved drumming, dancing, elaborate make-up and fire. There is a Ghandi memorial park to see which is very interesting.
