We felt like part of the family. We loved the amazing surroundings: the lake, the stream, the trees, and the snow-capped mountains. We adored the animals in the farm—beautiful goats, ducks, and chickens. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, eating and chatting at the big dining table, and soaking in the hot tub taking in the amazing view at midnight. And recycling—such an environmentally friendly thing to do!

What was there not to like!! The house was amazing, the views were the best we've seen. The hosts were thoughtful with leaving a bottle of Champagne for our group. The hot tub was amazing and easy to use. The hiking around the property was awesome. The sheep are not allowed in the area so they are free of poop! The fridge has a freezer!!

A lovely selection of food for breakfast. The owner made us fresh expresso and chatted with us about our travels. This was such a wonderful place to rest and reset, the beautiful view, the clean and tasteful design of the rooms. I have already recommended this to others. Staying in Lonkot and visiting Hofsos Emigration Museum was on of the highlights of our 2 week trip. I highly recommend booking this wonderful retreat.
