The staff was so very welcoming, Natasha and Enis made us feel right at home. The breakfast buffet was lovely. Didn't get a chance to use the sauna or hot-tub but +100 for offering that. Bebe loved the piano!

I love this property. It's so beautiful. Kitchen has a nice view of the ocean and the glass house is so cozy to chill in. Wish to have stayed longer in this property. Fully equipped kitchen and comes with washer and dryer which was really helpful. Check in from the nicely lighted shop/cafe downstairs and they will show you to your room. Free parking on site.

Location was fine for us as we were studying birds on S side of Snæfellsness and in Myar. We never got time to use the hot tub! We did wonder why it is constant at 40c, especially as the lid is damaged and insulation probably full of water so cannot insulate much - maybe it is natural hot water?

Borgarnes is a small town, very easy to walk around, but...

Borgarnes is a small town, very easy to walk around, but enough facilities for a short stay. There is a choice of cafes and restaurants. There is a swimming pool, but we didn't use it. It was a good location for us to hunt the Northern Lights. Only a short journey was needed to reach areas with dark skies. We were not disappointed.

We only spent 1 night and 1 lunchtime in Borgarnes, so my experience was limited. We would have loved to stay longer and explore more! The walk along the seaside is beautiful and a great way to get around. The pool with its hot tubs is excellent - just go here and skip the pricey spas! The town feels so safe and there are some lovely bakeries and cafes. The Settlement Museum is well worth a visit!

Small uninteresting town.

Small uninteresting town. Better to continue on to Reykjavik or stay somewheres before like Bifrost. We ate at Baza Bistro just down from Hotel Borgarnes. It was great. Food good, very generous serves and friendly staff.

This place was a gem of a find, fantastic scenery, and peaceful. The host was great and the cabin had everything we needed. The town is just fifteen minutes away for groceries etc. A bonus are the farmers dogs who come into the cabin deck and want to play or just have their tummy tickled. There is no tv, in such a wonderful location why would you need one. 100 percent recorded!

all the basic facilities, grocery store, nice french fusion restaurant in one of the hotels in town. starting point to major outdoor points (e.g. Snaefellsness national park, points north and inland). A good base for multiple day trips north and inland. Close to Glymur , highest waterfall in iceland (summer only, no river crossing in winter!)

The city is the historical center of some of the early...

The city is the historical center of some of the early settlers so it was interesting to explore. It has a number of good restaurants and plenty of other amenities like gas stations. It's a beautiful setting just across the fiord from the southern part of Iceland.

Very clean hotel with comfortable bed and good shower. The hotel was located directly opposite a small shopping centre with a supermarket and also various food options. Very convenient stop over spot on the Rjng Road.
