I honestly don’t even know where to begin describing this incredible experience at the hotel ❤️ The location is absolutely breathtaking – like stepping into a dream come true. The hospitality was warm and genuine, the food was on another level, and the attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was just flawless. Everything about the hotel felt magical and perfect. The restaurants were so delicious and beautifully curated that we chose to dine there almost every evening during our stay. And the breakfast… wow, wow, wow!!! Truly unforgettable. The staff were simply extraordinary – caring, attentive, and embracing, while at the same time professional and refined. We even got to know a few wonderful staff members personally. A special mention to Nicole at the bar – such a gem! She noticed even the smallest details, like when a fruit and cheese plate was empty, or when I didn’t enjoy a cocktail, and she immediately acted with grace and thoughtfulness. Those little things made us feel so valued and cared for. The hotel itself is stunning – filled with history, beauty, and charm that leaves you speechless. If I had to point out one thing, it would be the spa treatments. While the spa facilities are absolutely gorgeous – the Jacuzzi pool, the sauna, and the overall relaxing atmosphere – the massage itself didn’t quite meet our expectations. It felt a bit too soft and unclear, even though we asked for stronger pressure at the start. We usually enjoy massages a lot, but here it wasn’t quite our style. That said, the spa space itself is wonderful, calming, and beautifully designed. Overall, in every other way, the hotel and its amazing staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. It was truly a magical experience, and we are endlessly grateful. 🌟 We will most definitely be coming back! 🌟

The breakfast was exceptional, the food from the restaurant was delicious! They offer plenty of activities to do! Villa Marsili is a small, cozy boutique hotel where we felt cared for and truly welcome. We had a beautiful, antique-style room equipped with all modern comforts. The breakfasts were exceptional gourmet experiences – everything served was fresh and delicious, and we especially enjoyed the chef’s handmade savory delicacies made from local ingredients. Each evening from 7 to 8 PM, signature cocktails and snacks were offered – greetings to the lovely young man who mixed our drinks! We were able to park our car for free on the street next to the hotel, and a hotel staff member arranged the spot for us. Normally, parking can be difficult during the tourist season, but I believe we would have found a spot a bit further away if necessary, as there are several parking lots around the town and there were spaces available in the evenings. We will miss this hotel and the time we spent in Cortona. We’ve been to Cortona twice before, but this experience and hotel choice surpassed all previous visits. We’ll definitely come back to the same place in the future. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

I loved staying in a hotel with such amazing history, the building was a few centuries old but nicely preserved and fit for contemporary needs. It was absolutely beautiful for me, but it all depends on your style and preference. The location is fantastic, just a few steps from the main square, but then Cortona is so small that everything is close 🙂. Parking is available on site which is great.

We have had the pleasure of staying at some of the world's best hotels. At Villa di Piazzano everything exceeded our (high) expectations. Not least the staff - everyone (!) was so professional and service-minded. And the food was amazing. In fact extraordinary. And while the rooms can be said to be a bit on the pricy side, everything else was indeed reasonably priced. All in all a fantastic stay which we can wholeheartedly recommend. Not least at this time of the year (end of April).

We love Cortona and its Etruscan history and have visited many times. The views are wonderful and walking around the area that has limited motor vehicle access is great. There are a lot of very good restaurants and shops. You won't be disappointed.

The hotel was beautiful and breakfast was great. The attendant at the desk was very friendly and happy to provide us with a history of the hotel. An elevator would have been helpful as our luggage was quite heavy to get up the stairs.

Cortona is a great location for day tripping all that...

Cortona is a great location for day tripping all that Tuscany( Montepulciano, Assisi, Arezzo, Pienza, Sienna) has to offer. Parking can be a challenge, but the town itself is delight with many terrific resturants(La Bucaccia & Antica Trattoria) that cater to vistors. I could spend a month living in Cortona.

Amazing medieval city with beautiful architecture and a great atmosphere. We were there on the main holiday weekend of the year and it was very crowded. There was a food festival in the park, a photographic exhibition in various sites around the city and a band playing in the Teatro Piazza in the evening. The many churches are beautiful and there are restaurants to suit everybody - from gourmet to burgers. Never a dull moment for two days. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility problems because of the steep hills and cobbled streets.

We have stayed in Cortona three times over the past few years. We love the fact that it's not too big It has a community feel. The restaurants are very good, and there are some lovely shops. If you want to make Cortona your base, it's easy to travel to other villages not too far away.

Absolutely wonderful little Tuscan town located in a stunning landscape. Plenty of really good restaurants of all price ranges. Easy to happily lose yourself in the alleys and streets and to feel the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the community. Don't just stick to the core of the town, do explore the other parts, go up the hill to the fortress and have a drink/snack at their bar, and enjoy the uphill/downhill walk. And aimlessly walk around, not just inside the city and its surrounding wall, read about its history and stories, have an Italian drink somewhere with no allocated appointments afterwards and enjoy! Sheer bliss!

This property must be one of the best located places to stay in Cortona. It is basically right on Piazza Republica which (along with the adjacent streets) is where all the eating, drinking and chilling happens in Cortona. Rosa is a great host who met us at the door and made us feel at home. The beds were fine and the apartments has everything you need. Washing machine, drying rack, ironing board etc. The place was clean, very comfortable but above all had a super location. The photo here is from the bedroom window.

A lovely hotel with a fantastic location, a lovely atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed at the hotel before, but several years ago. The atmosphere is still the same. You feel so welcome and at home from the moment you step in. The breakfast is god, and the roms is nice and clean. I definitely give the hotel my best rekommandation. I already am looking forward coming back as soon as possible :-)

The hotel is located inside the town of Cortona which we liked very much, it gives a lot of opportunities to explore Cortona and surroundings without taking the car every day. Everything was full in Cortona, so we booked last-minute. Luckily, this hotel received us late in the evening. Check-in was smooth and the rooms were clean. Next to that, the lady was very helpful. We made some mistakes with the booking, but that was no problem for her. Great experience!
