We had an amazing stay! Everything was perfect: The house was spacious and made for a comfortable and cosy place to spend our evenings. We only stayed for two nights, but I could imagine pleasantly staying here for 2+ weeks. Fully equipped kitchen, nice shower, comfortable beds, cosy living room. I should also mention that it was spotless, I don't recall ever staying in a house this well cleaned before! The kind hosts respected our privacy but were there whenever we needed them. And finally the location: a quiet, hidden garden with citrus and pomegranate trees, all at a short taxi ride away from Fiumicino Airport and at walking distance from the incredible archeological park of Ostia Antica! Amazing! It should not come as a surprise that I fully recommend Zí Mario!

Host and property were amazing. Giulio was so helpful, sent very clear instructions for check-in and parking and the property was available to us earlier than our original arrival time when our plans changed. Super easy to check-in with very clear instructions sent on in advance. Safe on street parking right next to the property. Facilities in the property are excellent, everything you could need and more. Very comfortable, with plenty of amenities near by - we visited the archeological park, the beach and took the train into Rome for the day. The airport is only 15 minutes drive. Highly recommend, and hope to have another visit soon!

Staying at this villa was truly a five star deluxe experience. I’ve stayed in many top tier hotels around the world, but this place genuinely felt like a royal suite not just a room or an apartment. The design, cleanliness, and attention to detail were absolutely world class. Every corner of the villa exuded luxury and comfort. The host was outstanding incredibly responsive and thoughtful. Always checking in (without being intrusive) to make sure everything was perfect or if I needed anything. It felt like having a private concierge on call. If you’re looking for a place that gives you the feeling of exclusivity, elegance, and peace of mind look no further. This is way more than just accommodation it’s an experience.

We chose this apartment based on cost and location. We often visit Rome and knew of Ostia Antica. The apartment was great for the week we stayed. The kitchen, bedroom, living room and the outside space are all excellent. We used the washing machine as well. There is free parking in the nearby streets, and plenty of nice bars and a couple of restaurants. The apartment is in a new build and is very modern. The main road to Ostia, the airport or Rome is very close by. The metro is a 10 minute walk away. There is a supermarket beneath the apartment block which is very helpful. Sara communicated really well with us.

We were in Ostia Antica Arcaelogical Park in the begin of the month and we got free tickets. If you want to explore all old city without haste, you need all day. We came at 08.30 a.m., but at 16.30 p.m. was necessary to go away. This old city is amazing. There is a lot good saved buildings and you can imagine very well how people lived, worked and enjoyed many, many years ago. You can touch and feel ancient Roman culture. I really recommend this location for visiting 😀

Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

We stayed at Casetta 46 as we were visiting the Archaeological site at Ostia antica. The property is literally a five minute walk away and just a short walk fro the railway station. Very regular trains from Rome to Ostia. The apartment was furnished to a high standard and had everything we needed including a washing machine. There are a number of bars and restaurants in Ostia and a good supermarket just round the corner. Valentina the host kept in touch and we had no problems getting into the apartment etc.
