St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel are must‑sees. • Atmosphere: Rome is a mix of ancient grandeur and modern bustle. Cobblestone streets, piazzas, and fountains make every walk memorable. • Food: From espresso bars to trattorias, Roman cuisine is a delight. Don’t miss carbonara, supplì (fried rice balls), and gelato. 💡 Insider Tips • Book Early: Major attractions now require advance reservations romehacks.com. • Coffee Culture: Order and drink your espresso at the bar like locals — sitting often costs extra Time Out. • Free Water: Rome’s “nasoni” fountains provide clean drinking water, so carry a reusable bottle Time Out. • Timing: Early mornings or late evenings are best for enjoying landmarks without heavy crowds. ✅ Overall Impression Rome is chaotic yet magical. The Eternal City rewards those who embrace its quirks — from the grandeur of the Vatican to the charm of hidden trattorias. Great and big city, but very expensive.

Great and big city, but very expensive. Bring a lot of money if you really want to have a relaxed vacation, but if you are on a budget, keep in mind to find more affordable places in advance. All in all, a good experience and I would come back again. Definitely do some sort of food workshop—the best way to meet people and learn something new!

4 days/nights is just right before you get an overdose of renaissance art, beauty and pizza. The Romans we dealt with were super nice even though they have to deal with annoying tourists all year long. The niceness doubles when you have kids. We felt a bit let down by the "tourist-trap" restaurants though. I was expecting a bit more from italian cuisine. We should have carefully selected our eating spots or eaten away from sights.

I love Rome and will come again and again to visit. So much to see and do. I seen places I didn’t last time I came to Rome and still have plenty more to see. Got off the tourist areas and visited places that are just as amazing in Rome without tourist traps. So much history to learn and see.

Nice clean city.

Nice clean city. A long weekend is enough to get an idea of the city. However if you have more days you will not get bored. Trastevere is the best area for food, a bike tour to the aqua ducts and Via Appia is recommendable

The restaurant’s were adding in tips .my thoughts are tips are for me to decide not the restaurant.if you have good service then tip if not good maybe very little.also it cost more to sit in a restaurant than to take away…it’s like they rent you a seat.as far as the historical sites absolutely fabulous-each and everyone of them .a must do for everyone.watch out for pickpockets!

We like the hotel very much. We stayed in Rome just for a night on our way to Verona and San Remo has a perfect location, close to the train station. The biggest asset for the hotel is the staff - we had a little accident - my glasses fell off from the window and receptionist brought them back to me - i was super lucky because nothing happened to my glasses and i can write my review because i can see :)) Breakfast was very basic. We miss more vegetables but i guess that's Italy - coffee and sweets :)

The location was perfect for me. It's my favorite part of Rome and the hotel is so convenient and easily accessible.. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I loved being able to have a cappucino made for me (rather than out of a machine like many other "included" breakfasts I've had in italy). Having a kettle in the room was a nice surprise as well. This will be my 'go to" hotel in Rome from now on!

This was the best place we stayed in Italy. Nice and new, modern and contemporary. Felt extremely clean, comfortable beds and we were lucky enough to have a view of Piazza Venezia from our room. Great location, we walked everywhere and didn’t have to use public transport once. Plus the breakfast! Pietro really went the extra mile to make breakfast each morning that bit special. Will definitely be back when we return to Rome.

Despite being located in a VERY touristy part of Rome, this hotel is a peaceful and QUIET oasis from the chaos. I was shocked at how quiet my room! WiFi is excellent. Room was spacious and well appointed. Staff is wonderful. Little extras: cookies in the room each day. Breakfast was among the best I have ever had an Italy - excellent and beautiful assortment. Great shower.

Fantastic, friendly and polite front desk staff. If it weren't for them, the stay would have been miserable. The location is also great. The movie atmosphere of the hotel is quite ok but you lose the atmosphere of Italy and Rome with this.
