We enjoyed everything about this perfect place, and can’t recommend it enough! It must be experienced! It is an amazing and beautiful oasis , with a private pool. A view over the valley and the sea can be enjoyed from one of the five sitting arrangements around the villa, included sun beds by the pool. Inside the villa har three very nice decorated bedrooms, a modern kitchen with everything you need, and a beautiful bathroom , and a very charming living room. It is AC in every room. The hosts Gianfranco and his daughter Floriana are lovely and welcoming people, who do everything they can to make your stay perfect!

Amazing location. You are literally stay in the center of the city. One balcony looks at the central city square with the Pasticceria and the Vitelly bar, famous because of The Godfather movie, and of course Etna, which is observed straight from the balcony!! This location is far much better than anyone you can find closer to the beach. It is just another level of your vacation. From two other balconies you can see a lovely view of the sea and mountains. Host, Eleonora, will help you to get a free parking, where you can always find a place to park. She also provides all necessary info on how to check in, what is the best places to visit and where to buy groceries. As the apartment is located on the central square, you’ll find yourself surrounded by crowds of people. Not you, but the apartment. But we loved it soo much. During the night it is quiet, but starting from 9am people will start making noise, so be aware. Apartment is spacious, pretty clean and has all necessary compliances for those who travel with the family. Nearest grocery store is in 10 min drive down to the seaside. Entrance to highway is in 20 minutes. Road to Etna Sur will take approximately 70 minutes.

The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the little balcony over the town was lovely. The town becomes very peaceful in the evening and early morning which was just magical. Breakfast was amazing, our choice of anything from the bar. The staff were very attentive and it was a wonderful place to stay.

The residents are exceptionally kind, and the bakery is truly exceptional. It is a delightful destination to visit. Nevertheless, it is advisable to refrain from spending money at the renowned bar location where the godfather was filmed, as it is nothing more than a rip-off with subpar service. The owners prioritised the account.

Beautiful little hilltop village, great location and scenic views with some history. Reasonable number of good dining options but it's not a busy 'resort'. We loved it, but noted that others had commented that there wasn't enough to do in the village in the evenings - too quiet apparently. Probably best enjoyed with access to a car, but limited bus options if on foot.

Savoca is a lovely village with a lot of traditional charm, beautiful walks and interesting history. We found the people there very genuine and welcoming. The food was delicious. Very easy to explore on foot. A great place for godfather fans but you will have a lovely time even if you’re not interested in the films.

If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca...

If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca is the place for you. A little off the beaten track but such a picturesque part of Sicily. Be warned, you can walk the entire town in a morning and pretty much explore everything it has to offer. But if scenery, friendly people and getting away from it all are what you are after you will be hard pushed to find somewhere better. It does get very hot in summer and due to the filming of some of The Godfather here you do get the odd coach load of tourists turn up for a photo of Bar Vitelli and to do the wedding walk. That said, the town is that small that once you have spent a couple of days here you almost feel like a local and if people watching is your thing, then a cold beer and an ice cream in the square can while away a couple of hours. There are a couple of decent restaurants here too, but they are not open every day. Let's just say that very quickly you begin to realise that this slow way of life might not be such a bad thing. There are a couple of souvenir shops in the main square (if you can call it that), but they are not in your face. And if you walk up to the Saint Nicolas church make sure you stop off at Andrea's olive oil shop. All in all, Savoca is a tiny piece of Italy (Sicily) that you won't regret visiting.

For sure it had to be classified as one of the most beautiful "Borgi" of Italian historic villages (Sicily). The old , quiet village looks like a Nativity crib, especially at night with its dim lightning and charming Savocans! The story behind Francis Copolla's "The Godfather" makes it more intresting. I was very disappointed with the over-priced and money-miser approach of Bar Vitelli...... if you do not sit down and but an expensive Granita .... circa 8 Euro oer person than to just have a photo you are charged 5 euro. But ignoring Bar Vitelli ill-effect approach, Savoca offers wonderful walks, charming atmosphere and scenery, great vinotecas (Wine bars) and places to eat. It is a place to supreme relaxation away from bustling city noise, eventhough on Wednesday a lots of tourists invade the village.

Verdello Home is a wonderful place to stay. Excellent new accommodation and gracious, caring lovely hosts. Situated near the Sea and a short distance to the village of Savoca which is charming, has beautiful vistas, and excellent restaurants.

The house is located in the top center of Savoca. We had a 1 week vacation in Sicilly and stayed in different hotels every day - this house was our best choice and the biggest surprise of the journey. Our host was very very kind and made us the most delicious breakfast. The house is decorated with style, there is a kitchen, that we could use freely and a balcony with great view! We highly recommend staying there and if we get the chance, we will stay there for more than one night!

WOW. Everything was just perfect. Francesca and Cristian welcomed us warmly, extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us at feel home. Balcony views were extraordinary and our room was very comfortable. Savoca is a short walk, a gorgeous little village with quite some history with the Godfather movie and catacombs (not for the feint hearted). Loved the church bells. Breakfast had a great choice and bountiful with great coffee.

Lovely Italian home. So clean and comfortable. Stunning location. The host met us and were so friendly and helpful. Our favourite place we stayed whilst in Sicily! The location and everything the property had was just perfect. There is a lovely little terraced area for sitting outside and soaking up the beautiful atmosphere.
