We loved it at caffe del viaggiatore. The location is excellent with the lake access right across the street. It is a lovely community beach with enough shade and even a small pool for kids, all free of charge. The mountains around the village and the Lugano lake are absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant in the hotel serves nice breakfast and dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. The rooms were cool enough during hot summer days and had a/c. Everything in the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Last but not least the staff was just great. Very pleasant and communicative owners that do everything at their disposal to make you feel welcome. It was supposed to be just a stopover on our trip to south France, but was really a highlight of our trip. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Beautiful location on the Italian side of Lake Lugano, complete on it's own with a small beach, splash pools and water slide, spa, a playground, a fish and turtle pond, childcare and three restaurants. The place was spotless. The service was exceptional! I mean really! Everyone smiles and it felt they are genuinely interested in the people around. They waived off the charges for our second child. :) and sent us bottles of water for the drive back. I've never had that before. We'll definitely go back again.

The staff was super nice, very accommodating, very efficient as well. When I booked I didn't include the children, and didn't realize until checking in and the lady that greeted us was so hospitable, she made us two extra beds in less than 10 minutes. And the restaurant was great too, not too many dishes on the menu and the few that we tasted were delicious.

Beautiful small village.

Beautiful small village. Easy access to lake , Lugano and mountains. Some narrow roads and lots of speed cameras . Walking around the village is limited. Ate in the restaurant at Hotel Stella d’Italia ; excellent.

The hotel is lovely, old charm but perhaps could be smarter. The rooms are fine , fairly basic but with a view to die for. The owners are kind and helpful. There is a food shop opposite the entrance which is handy and there are 2 more eating establishments in the village. It’s peaceful and quiet, no sign of a HM store.

The most beautiful hotel! And the location is out of this world. We had the best 2 days/nights. Pure bliss. Room with a view is an understatement. The view!!!!! The staff were so lovely and engaging . Breakfast was good . Dinner very very good . The hotel had so much charm . A place to switch off, unwind and relax .

Great view, cleanest hotel I have ever stayed, excellent Italian breakfast, Mr. & Mrs. were so hospital and polite. Great lake view at the balcony. There is a parking space just in front of the hotel. You can run, walk or ride your bike on nearest paths or on the road. This is the only place if I’ll be there again.

A charming little city with lots of character and direct location on Lake Lugano. The hotel's location is directly across from the public pool and swimming area. Hugely convenient. Breakfast was very good despite being on a smaller side.
