We stayed at Jekhsen Guesthouse for only one night, yet we had such a warm and welcoming experience. The owners are so friendly and the food was amazing! When you wake up with the view of the mountains it is breathtaking. Thank you so much for this experience! We definitely recommend this place!

Short version: Don't look for other options, but stay here:) We stayed longer than initially planned because staying with Gulzat and her family is just amazingly heartwarming. Long version: We had a truly heartwarming stay at Gulzat's and her family‘s guest house. Not only was it an authentic, quiet, and spacious guest house where you immediately feel welcome and as a family member, but Gulzat and her family also went above and beyond to make it a special and definitely the best stay we had at any guest house (not just in Kyrgyzstan): - The food was delicious and home-made from the family‘s animals and garden - we had many different local dishes and sides for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and Gulzat even cooked meat-free meals when she noticed that my wife prefers vegetarian food. All of that in such a nice and heartwarming way that you never feel like „just another guest“. - Their son Taiyr guided us on a beautiful horse ride through the valley and up the rocks and mountains, while being a great guide incl. providing details about the valley‘s history, the local way of life etc. - Recommendation: Just do it, even if you don't have any horse riding experience (like me)! - But what especially stood out from anything we ever experienced on our trips to many different countries: The whole family (Gulzat, her husband, and Taiyr) went beyond anything you‘d expect from a host family! We had an issue with our gas burner (for the planned camping trip) and all three of them invested a lot of their time (even late in the evening) and efforts to find a creative and super-fast solution which Amazon in our home country could only dream of:) Also, they noticed a small damage at one of our car‘s tires and even accompanied us to a nearby repair shop (again with a really nice owner) who fixed it in no time. I would rate 11/10 if I could!

It had very charming rooms with a cosy decor. It was warm and comfortable.

A cozy and nice place for a short stay, friendly hosts, they treated us as if we were in our house, very generous, food was authentic, organic and delicious. The nature around the guest house is fantastic. The yurt tent is nice.
