Beautiful lodges. It feels very new and clean. The bathroom has consistent hot water. There is a kettle in the room and the bed is so comfortable. The location is perfect, so close to Wilpattu National Park gate. Isuru is a very knowledgeable guide and he and is wife take such joy in the animals and the nature. We stayed here just after a cyclone and the Isuru and his wife were amazing. Despite the challenges they provided comfort and safety and delicious food. They take obvious pleasure in welcoming their guests. They also helped us arrange our onwards transfer.

Buma is a great host! He helped us organize a safari in Wilpattu National Park in no time. The room is brand new, the bed is comfy (a bit small, but that seems pretty common in Sri Lanka), and the bathroom has good water pressure and hot water. Buma also cooked us a delicious dinner and made fresh mango juice. Before dinner, he took us on a night birdwatching walk, which was really interesting. Highly recommended!

I believe this guest house is ideal for people doing a Wilpattu Safari: - it is located right next to the park entrance. - it is not luxurious, but who needs a luxurious hotel if you are going to spend the entire day on safari anyway? - the AC worked great, the bed slept well and it has an ensuite shower and toilet. - they were happy to supply lunch and breakfast for the safari, and prepare dinner as well. I ate very well there. - the hostess was very kind and happy to help with questions. - if you are lucky you may already spot some animals from your window! I saw a wild peacock and monkeys. But apparently elephants also sometimes roam through nearby fields.

Staying at Ceylon Resort Wilpattu was like being welcomed into a family. From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff made us feel right at home. The warm, familial atmosphere was truly one of the highlights of our stay. To our surprise and delight, we were even given an upgrade for our accommodation, which added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and perfectly designed to blend comfort with the natural beauty of the surroundings. A special mention goes to the Roshan's wife, whose cooking was absolutely phenomenal. Every meal was a feast of authentic Sri Lankan flavors, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and an extra touch of love. Dining at the resort felt like sharing a meal with family, and it was easily some of the best food we had during our entire trip. The service was beyond outstanding. The team went above and beyond to ensure every guest had an unforgettable experience. Whether it was arranging our safari to Wilpattu National Park, providing insightful tips about the area, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable, their attention to detail and genuine care were unmatched. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, exceptional hospitality, the surprise upgrade, and world-class cuisine made this stay truly special. If you’re looking for a place where you can relax, connect with nature, and feel genuinely cared for, Ceylon Resort Wilpattu is the perfect choice. I cannot recommend the stay and Service highly enough!

Perfect place for exploring Wilpattu Nature parc. Very clean rooms, delicious food and excellent staff. Anthony was a perfect guide and driver at the safari and we enjoyed his company and knowledge. We surely recommend wilpattu wildhideaway

The owner and her family are such warm people that made us feel truly welcome. The food at the hotel was great! The hotel itself was close to the park, and had a very zen feel. The hotel has only been open for 3 months so everything was brand new. We booked a safari with the hotel and this was great as well, with an amazing breakfast to go. We would recommend it to everyone!

We stayed here to be close to the safari in Wilpattu. It was a very nice stay with huts surrounded by trees and tranquility. We enjoyed the homemade food provided for dinner and a lovely traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. We met the owner on the second day and he took us for a walk around the fields He explained some interesting facts about the animals and birds and we even saw elephant tracks. We weren't so lucky in the safari so this made up for it. We enjoyed relaxing on the hammock after the safari. The place is relatively new and seems that they are working on improving the facilities. I think that it will be even nicer once completed. Highly recommended.
