The location is very good. It takes about 7 minutes walking to the beach. The staff is very friendly. We booked a room with breakfast and ordered dinner separately. The meal was tasty. The room was amazing. Staff provided us with an excursion to Pigeon Island -- it was very nice.

Lovely clean spacious room very close to a beautiful, quiet beach. Staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating. Little cabanas on the beach wereperfect for relaxing in the shade with a beautiful view. We only ate breakfast here but the food was great and delivered to our room. The only downside is that the beach has a lot of litter further up. They clean around the hotel, so the view is unspoilt, but a shame the other hotels don’t do the same and take more care of the beach and our planet.

We had a fab time here, loved staying in a cute cabana which had all of the facilities - en suite and air con!! The location is fab, 4 mins walk to the nicest beach in Trinco, right round the corner to some lovely restaurants and a couple of grocery stores a min walk away! The owner was very helpful and organised a tuk tuk to the bus stop for us at a low price. Couldn’t fault this place at all!!

outstanding staff!!! Every single one (from reception, to kitchen and housekeeping) was soo friendly and attentive. THANK YOU again. Food was AMAZING<3 The Beach was cleaned every morning and sunbeds and chairs were provided. Water just super nice and clear. Waking up to the sunrise behind the panorama window.. priceless! This location was absolutely beautiful.

This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are...

Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places...

We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places in Sri Lanka. After travelling around the island, we decided just to completely chill and not check out the other beaches. We will definitely go back again and check out a few of the other beaches along that coastline. Food is fantastic and the people are very friendly! When we read up about the island, they said that this was the less developed area, but as far as I could see it was the same as most other places. Definitely has everything you need and one of the best places to completely unwind.

I went to Trincomalee for a family occasion, so I didnt have so much time to explore the area. I found a lovely beach not far away from J7 Villaj Resort and I got the imperssion, there are not so many tourist in the area. There is a lot of activities around Trincomalee, if you like wateractivities, you find them on internet, what to do in Trincomalee...... There are local restaurants serving fresh seafood - from sea daily. Its easy to find a tuktuk or use the app pickme (works in all Sri Lanka). I wish I had more time in Trincomalee after I found the beach, but for sure I will go back and stay there for a longer period. Just take the night train from Colombo (from 11 Eur - first class) or reverse. Its a good place to relax and finish your trip after exploring historical places Sri Lanka.

Visited Fort Fredrick, The navel base and the town. Deer park in town is a lovely place to come really close to lots of deer in an open setting and feed them too! Free to enter just bought some feed to make friends with the deer!

I wanted to go to Trincomalee for personal reasons but also...

I wanted to go to Trincomalee for personal reasons but also because the beach and the hotel looked good. If you want only a beach holiday, then it’s great but if you want to sightsee, you might enjoy central Sri Lanka a bit more. We loved the chance to see a local community. We enjoyed the hotel, so could have stayed a night or two longer but we like Sri Lanka for its rich history and sight seeing opportunities too.

Really honest and responsible owner! If you have any issues he will help you to solve any kind of problem. In addition, the owner has his comrade Baboo, which is also kind and funny, so if you are sad don't hesitate to talk to him!)) The location is pretty average. Popular Uppuveli beach located 1,5-2 km from hotel, Central Bus station Trincomalee (3 km), Railway station Trincomalee (2km). However if you wanna hang out on the beach and just take a rest, no problem, there's a beach 200 meters from hotel, so you can enjoy it;)

The couple who own the hotel are so lovely, and it was clear they sincerely cared about their patrons' comfort and safety. They were so accommodating and always willing to have a chat. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was a delicious mixture of traditional Sri Lankan breakfast foods and western food. The beach is a very short walk from the hotel, and it is in a quiet area.
