I am biased as it is my favorite place in the world and I was heartbroken to move out. There's nothing flashy about Jekabpils, but great lake Radži, little, cute streets, quiet and peaceful, nice castle with a museum.

Very small town but clean and few things to see.

Very small town but clean and few things to see. Beautiful Krustpils castle, so much history. Very green, lots of trees and greenery. There is few nice places to eat , tasty Latvian cuisine. Quite cheap for big portions. They have big sports hall which holds ice hokey games and other sports events.

Just ok for a short stop.

Just ok for a short stop. Nothing special, interesting to see in the city. Bolt taxi started recently and the only driver in the city at the moment is really friendly and suitable for his job. Bolt app is handy.

Very good hotel for overnight stay.

Very good hotel for overnight stay. Quiet, perfectly clean room. Illuminated parking lot in the yard with a gate code. You can eat at the excellent "Lūšu krog", about 9 min walk. Food at very reasonable prices, tasty and high quality, very fast and friendly service. Lots of pizzerias and cafes in the area if you just want a bite or breakfast.

When entering Jēkabpils, you definitely won’t pass by Krustpils Castle, which has faithfully watched over the banks of the Daugava River since the 13th century. Krustpils Castle is one of the oldest castles in Latvia. Krustpils Castle was built in 1237 by the Archbishop of Riga, Nicholas de Magdeburg, as a fortification on the road from Riga to Daugavpils.

Few well-known tourist attractions, despite the city's superb location! Plenty of cafes with outdoor terraces. Three kilometers from the city, Raju Beach is a super vacation spot with all kinds of summer and water activities.
