If you have your own transportation consider this authentic place over the tourist trap that is Ait Ben Haddou... Only 20k further up the road you'll find the warmest of welcomes at half the price with the opportunity to really experience Morocco. The food is delicious (try the omelette berbère!!) and from their own garden. The rooms are spacious and scented with fresh flowers. The view from the terrace is out of this world. A real hidden gem!

The food was good for both breakfast and dinner. A really nice village with an old kasbah. The host did not speak English but was exceptionally friendly. It was clean and felt like they cared about their guests.

The Riad is very beautifully located on a little hill with beautiful views. The property is very big and nice. Noussa and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was comfortable with nice views and definitely worth the price. The breakfast was delicious.

Very friendly and welcoming host, he offered us tea and a snack upon our arrival and sat with us to chat. Our room was big, clean and equipped with fresh towels and bed sheets. The location is quiet, well kept and has a private parking. WiFi works well. If requested the kasbah offers dinner service: we ordered two tajines that were delicious, so was breakfast the morning after! Worth staying!

This is a superb and professionally run new guesthouse in the pretty village of Tamedakhte. Stylishly appointed throughout with comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms (best we had!), pristinely clean, and excellent wifi (not always easy to find in Morocco). Staff are outstanding and go out of their way to help you. Abdul took good care of us every day! Breakfasts were some of the best we had during our travels and we were especially grateful to be able to get espresso in the mornings as not many guesthouses offer that. Mouhamed is a gentlemanly host and very generous. He let us even do our laundry which was much appreciated after weeks of traveling and even drove us when we couldn't get a taxi. I highly recommend staying here. It is an excellent location to position yourself to visit Ait Benhaddou (only 5 mins by car) and trekking in the surrounding area with beautiful Berber villages, farmland along the river, and caves are not to be missed. Tamedakhte is also peaceful and less touristy. Villa A'Kabar will definitely stand out as one of the best places my husband and I stayed in across two months in Morocco. Many thanks to Mouhamed and his staff for their hospitality and making our stay so memorable.

This is an amazing quirky, arty guesthouse in Morocco, the only one that we’ve seen like this and we loved it! Fantastic idea - art gallery, art and music focused, re used materials, these guys have a great idea for what this place will become. Food was lovely, and prepared last minute for us. Views from the terrace and the three cats were a delight!

Absolutely nothing except that the staff was courteous and breakfast was okay. The view might have been nice if the windows weren’t broken and filthy so we couldn’t see out of them.
