I had a wonderful stay at this new container hotel. The property feels very fresh, with all the equipment and fittings being modern, high-quality, and well maintained. Everything was spotless and clean, which made the stay extra comfortable. The design is sleek yet cozy, and the riverside location adds a very relaxing vibe—you can really unwind while enjoying the scenery. There’s also a comfortable outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which made the evenings extra special. Sitting by the fire with the river beside you was an amazing experience.

Aurland is a quiet town with a well-stocked grocery and an...

Aurland is a quiet town with a well-stocked grocery and an excellent bakery. It is not a port of call for the huge Sognefjord cruise ships, so it is not overrun by tourists multiple times a day. By car, the town is 20 minutes from Flåm, 35 minutes from Lærdal via the Lærdalstunnelen (the world's longest road tunnel, at almost 25km), and 2.5 hours from Bergen. A refueling station is located just south of town, off the E-16 roundabout. It offers reasonable prices for electric vehicle charging and petrol/diesel fuel. And, it serves the best homemade soup in the area!

Its a place which has lots of amazing things to do, every corner has a picture perfect view. In the beginning you might feel that 2-3 days are enough but I think you at least need 5 days. Good place to stay, we went to flam and Odda. Going and coming back from Odda was little bit hectic because it was raining heavily, the roads are very small, there are some places where there is only one lane, no two vehicles will fit. so be careful at such road. The nature is amazing, flam station has good food stall, I guess all major street foods.

Wonderful location to celebrate holidays through out the year . Fjords and hike added extra value to the journey . There is a lot to do and view at the place . There is a small supermarket called coop next to the flam station which is helpful to buy necessary items . There are 2 coffee shops at the bus station at Flam . I would not depend on restaurants at Aurland . Flam is only 15 minutes away by car from Aurland, so , it will be a better idea to have food or buy food stuff from Flam ,especially because restaurants are closed after 5-6 in the evening at Aurland in Winter . They say, restaurants are open for longer time during summer . Only problem is public transport . There is not enough public transport facility between Flam and Aurland ,so we had to rely on local taxi services . Lokaltaxi (the name of the taxi service ) was really helpful.

Great location with a fantastic view on the fjord, away from the hustle and bustle of Flam, however, can be slightly tricky to get around, although you just need to book onto the shuttle bus for a small fee in reality, so it's not that big of a deal.

Aurland is a small village situated in a beautiful fjord environment sorrounded by dramatic landscape. Flaam and Stegastein Viewpoint are in the vicinity of Aurland. The best way to see the fjord landscape is from above. Spectacular scenary.

The owner at the front desk was a lovely person - he gave us a free lift to Aurland town in the rain, also didn’t charge us for 4 sets of linen but 2, and was so friendly. I wasn’t expecting much from the room but it was beautiful, up to date, modern, super clean and warm. I wish I stayed for more. My family really loved their stay and found that to be the best accommodation of their stay. Highly recommend this!

We loved our 2 night stay, the apartment had everything you need for a very comfortable stay . View down the valley where to die for and can be enjoyed from the large balcony. Very comfortable bedrooms , well appointed kitchen and bathroom . Parking for our two cars . Short drive to both Aurland and Flåm . Magne the owner was there to welcome us and communication was excellent .

Best experience. Very clean, modern, warm, comfortable apartment that was on the Fjord front with amazing views from the comfort of our warm apartment. Very helpful staff, has baggage storage after checkout for us to explore Aurland and Stegastein while waiting for our coach out. Thank you for making this a great experience for our family.

Lovely room with view over the fjord. Walls were thin as it’s an old building but it has lots of character. There’s a gastropub next door - part of the hotel - where we ate both nights as it’s one of the few places to eat in Aurland.
