Everything was just perfect, Very friendly staff, a very well designed hotel lobby and breakfast area with beautiful art prints. A bonus was the free coffee/tea bar all day long. Alesund is a stunning town and Hotel Brosundet is right in the heart of it. The building exterior is gorgeous and matched by the lobby and rooms. Be sure to make a reservation at the restaurant in advance! We ate in the cafe and still had a lovely dinner, then stopped by the on-site bar for delicious cocktails. Overall it was an excellent location, clean and modern rooms, and all the amenities needed.

It was convenient for my appointment at Moa, Spjelkavik. The reasonably-priced room had a decent work desk and a pleasant ambience. The buffet supper (Mondays to Thursdays), included in the room rate, was an unexpected bonus. The breakfast was excellent. You avoid having to drive into the town centre, where the hotels are filled with tourists.
